Your France Villa Holiday
With a French villa holiday, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of your own private accommodation, but also explore the vibrant resorts, quaint towns and fascinating regions of France.
Treat yourself to a villa holiday in the Côte D’Azur, and relish the Mediterranean climate as you dip into your private pool for a refreshing swim, or sunbathe in your villa’s garden.
Self-catering in France is as easy as it is a pleasure, and you can create tasty family meals from the delicacies you’ll find at the local markets; not to mention the freshly made baguettes and croissants from a local bakery.
There are many beautiful villas to rent in France, making for an idyllic setting from which to enjoy this wonderful destination and all it has to offer.
France is a fantastically vast, beautiful and varied country. Our villas are located in Southern France, in the Côte D’Azur and Provence areas of the country. Côte D’Azur is a favourite destination for many holidaymakers because of the beautiful beaches of Antibes and the delicious, freshly caught fish they can enjoy at Cagnes-sur-Mer’s harbour-side restaurants.
In the Provence region of France, wander the vast fields of lavender and yellow rapeseed flowers, taking in the wonderful smells. Sample the local Provençal cuisine, dining on bowls of warming ratatouille and sweet, crispy pastry desserts as you take in the captivating culture of Van Gogh’s favourite city, Arles, and the rich history of Avignon.
When to go to France
The best time to visit France depends on the region you’ll be visiting, but in general the climate is similar to that of the UK. In the south of France you’ll experience a much warmer, Mediterranean climate with sun-drenched summers and mild winters. The best time of the year to go would be between April and September, when you’ll be able to enjoy the beaches of Antibes and Nice.
If you’re an admirer of art, then you’ll love St Tropez. Many painters were inspired by this beautiful town, specifically Paul Signac who was followed by many other great artists, including Henri Matisse. Visit the town’s Le Musee de L’Annonciade where you’ll get the chance to gaze at the gallery’s collection of paintings, including great examples of Fauvism and Post-Impressionism.
The food of Provence can arguably be the sole reason for choosing a French villa holiday in the south of France, from a bowl of delicious, fresh Bouillabaisse fish stew, to refreshing Soupe au Pistou with freshly baked baguettes - a great summer-time lunch. If you’re cooking back at your villa, take a morning trip to Antibes to take advantage of the Marché Provençal. This wonderful market is open every morning between June and August selling fresh fruit and vegetables, locally caught fish and beautiful bouquets of flowers.

Location is amazing, Avignon and Pont Du Gard are both worth a trip out, but there are hundreds of things in the locale
Car hire at the airport could be better, the queues can be very very long!

Shoreham by Sea Couple
So much to see and do, with many interesting places and restaurants to visit.
Very long drive from Nice airport to venue. Necessary to take toll roads, which were a surprise and expensive. Would have been better to take TGV to Avignon or fly to Marseille.

Quiet location with beautiful scenery. Saint-Cézaire is only a short walk and has all the amenities you need for a week.

Rustrel is a small village but has its own charm and peacefulness The area is up in the hills so lots of walking and cycling going on and it is about 20 minutes drive from Apt which is where the supermarkets are. If you like being a little off the beaten track it’s great.
No real bad points there is no real night life as such if you want that you would be disappointed This area is quite a way from main tourist spots such as Aix en Provence or Avignon but the are local hill top villages and Lourmarin is lovely if you can cope with the twisty road to get there

Villa and surrounding area all very good
Car hire - Avis desk not immediately clear where it was on arrival - Avis Q at desk long and confusing. Your directions could not have been more difficult - confusing. Could have done with a demo of the sat nav and automatic functions in car before setting off. All in all the drive from the airport to villa was stressful and we were late getting their - luckily the designated key holder waited - if she hadn't waited this would have caused further problems and is a problem waiting to happen if flight delayed etc! Finally, no rep in the area?
