    • Mr Hollos, September 2017

Great start to our two week holiday!

      Voula and Pepos

Thank you for your beautiful villa. Despite a couple of cloudy mornings and a couple of very windy evenings we have had a relaxing and lovely holiday. Victoria has been amazing keeping the villa spotlessly clean so a very big thank you to her.

      Places we have enjoyed -->

Keri - hire a private motor boat to visit Keri Caves and Turtle Island then finish off the day with a visit to the tavern for an ouzo and beer. Food ok there as well.

Porto Roxa - Ionian Taverna for lunch then a free sunbed or cradle to have a sunny siesta.

Cape Skinara - fantastic views over to Kefalonia and boat trip to the Blue Caves. Beware the long walk down to get your boat - lots of steps for old knees like ours!!

Agios Nikolaos Bay - is really lovely. Sit and watch the boats and catamarans struggle to berth!

Zakynthos town - lovely drive to get there. Plenty of places to park on the front then a slow stroll along the front with a meal in the town.

Alykes - lovely beach, sandy, so not ideal on a windy day. happy hour cocktail then a meal at Jo Paradosiano. Fabulous! Probably the best restaurant we have visited this week - no, definitely the best!!

      Restaurants we have eaten at

Selen - decent home cooked food but avoid the red wine at all costs!

The Cross Taverna at Kambi - lovely views, ideal to see the sunset. Food ok, wine ok.

Alexandro at Maries - very good value, lovely home cooked food, very friendly tavern.

La Bruschetta at Keri - lovely Italian as a change from Greek cuisine. Food very good but a little more expensive.

The Old Mill at Loncha - avoid. The worst Greek meal we have ever experienced in 6 years of visiting the Greek islands.

This has been a wonderful first week of our two week holiday in Zakynthos. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chloe; we have chilled out and relaxed in and out of the pool, we have had a bit of sun, eaten well and drunk well.

Lovely memories to take on to the next villa and to take home.

    • Mr Long, September 2017

      Top tips for family holidays

This is our second time in Zakynthos having stayed on the south east of the island last year in a villa near Agassi. This year we wanted to experience the less commercial aspect in the west.

Firstly let me echo all that the other guests have said about this wonderful villa and most importantly our hosts Voula, Pepos and Victoria in that their friendliness and professionalism has made our stay even more amazing. Victoria has kept our villa clean and tidy and we can't thank her enough.

Villa Chloe has provided superb seclusion and privacy and our 4 daughters have loved the swimming pool!

I've read all of the previous recommendations but what I will say is, don't be afraid to venture out and explore the island, that way you discover a few hidden gems. Road signs aren't great but if you have a reasonably good map you soon get a feel for seeking out villages and get a sense of direction.

That said, let me tell you about some of our escapades...

Keri Beach - is very pebbly, not many sandy areas. The beach slopes gently into the sea and stays shallow for a long while - great for kids.

Dafni Beach - Opposite the more commercial Banana Beach to the south of the island. Beautiful, long sandy beach but no shade on the beach. Shade can be found in the 3-4 tavernas but we advise to take your own brollys and beach mats.

Alykes - ***our favourite*** Lovely soft sand, sunbeds and brollys on the beach. Good tavernas and bars and lovely sloping beach into the sea. You go out to waist height for a good 20 - 30 metres, so great for kids. BRILLIANT

The little shop down the road is good for top ups (milk, bread etc) but suggest using the Express or Lidl stores for bulk shops. Express quite good for meats and cheeses.

Taverna Sunset @ Kambi (left down the road when you turn right onto the main road for the village) Good quality food and beautiful sunset! A defo go and see.

Selene Taverna - Basic food, pizza is good. Limited menu.

Garden of Tastes - Agio Leon village (to the left of the main shop in the village) Expensive food, good crepes though - recommend the Strawberry crepes. NOT A ZOO - trust me! Does have a small kids play area and a few animals.

***Jo Pavadosiako Taverna in Alykes*** (if sea to your left - exit Alykes heading towards Alykanaas, just on right as you exit the main town) BRILLIANT - our best restaurant. Great food, good menu - very popular and takes bookings (phone number in guestbook)

We also ate in a lot, didn't get to use the BBQ but see others have used it.

      Sunset @ Kambi - beautiful - a MUST!

Sarakinado Water park - went twice last year and twice this year, kids love it and it's a good waterpark. ***TIP***Print off discount vouchers available online.

Drive to the Blue Caves (beautiful photos) and take a boat trip.

Shipwreck by car - not great, really busy. It's ok, you can walk across the mountain if parked up - take some decent shoes as flip flops won't cut it! Boat trip best way to visit.

All in all an excellent holiday, 2 weeks in a lovely location in a tranquil, serene villa with wonderful hosts. Villa cleaned daily. Awesome holiday from the 6 of us!

    • Mr Hill, August 2017

Perfect holiday after A levels and GCSEs

Lovely, relaxing stay in a wonderful villa! Just what we needed after kids A levels/GCSEs.

Voula and Pepos were very welcoming and did a great job of looking after us and Victoria was amazing at keeping the villa clean and tidy.

The highlight of our week was sailing on the Soliton (see leaflets) to snorkel in Keri Caves.

We also loved shipwreck Beach - recommend leaving after 3pm as the crowds had died down.

Sunsets at Cross Tavern were beautiful and the fresh fish is well worth a try! However our favourite sunset was watching from the rocks at Porto Roxa beach after diving from the cliffs and a meal at the Ionion tavern.

The Agios Leon Bakery every day for fresh bread and frappes.

Dennis Taverna had a nice setting and food on the way to Zakynthos.

      Overall a lovely week!

    • Mrs Mitchell, June 2017

      Perfect quiet family holiday.

We had a wonderful first family holiday, thank you Voula, Pepos and Victoria!

The villa is wonderful and so is the pool. It is in a bit of a remote location but we like to have a quiet holiday, away from the main resorts. So, a car is a must!.

We particularly enjoyed the games area, which we played on most evenings.

Recommendations - the two best restaurants we ate in were 'El Sueno' in Mikro Nisi (amazing Stuba area and food! and 'Vrakos' in Agios Marina. (Amazing views and moussaka!)

We also went a few times to a fantastic crazy golf in Tsilivi - Fantasy Mini Golf.

For wine tasting we went to Grampsas which was lovely and visited the Olive Oil Factory.

    • Mr Hollinshead, May 2017

Places to visit and places to eat

We can endorse most of the comments from the previous visitors regarding the villa, the owners and the daily cleaner (Victoria). Their warmth, friendliness and attention to any request was exceptional.

The villa's location suited us admirably - so quiet and peaceful, and very pretty too!

      Places to visit

Porto Vromi - to take boat to Shipwreck Bay

Limni Keri - do take boat to Turtle Island for an hour

      Kampi - for sunset

Agios Nicholaos area- the prettiest coastal area on the Island and lots of decent tavernas

Zakynthos Town - worth a 2/3 hour visit

NB The eastern coast is much busier and very touristy we would give Alikes a big miss!!

However, we had very good meal in pretty taverna @ Tsilivi

      Places to Eat

"Selene" @ Agios Leon - not the prettiest but good food and service and value for money.

"Sunset Taverna" @ Kampi - good food and great location

Most of the tavernas near to Agios Nicholaos - PILARINOS @ Makrys Gialos

      Waterfront tavernas @ Limni Keri

    • Mr Parker, May 2017

      Great Holiday + Recommendations

Great villa, great island = great holiday

      We can recommend

      • Porto Paradiso in Alykes
      • Sea kayaking in the Blue Cave with Dimitris
      • Walking in Gyri and Louha (along the fertile valley to the monastery)
      • The village tavern and Dennis at Lithaki
      • See you soon

    • Mr Geller, May 2017

      A Dream Holiday

We have spent the most relaxing week here at Villa Chloe. The location was just perfect for us - quiet, peaceful and isolated. The quality of service was second-to-none - Victoria was an absolute treasure. Everything that was promised in the brochure was delivered with a spotlessly clean villa and lovely friendly hosts.

We cannot recommend this gem highly enough and hope to visit again sometime.

Thank you for giving us a dream holiday on this beautiful island.

A Quiet Away from it all Holiday

First of all, a BIG thank you to Victoria. Also, Peppos and Voula. We wanted a quiet, away from it all holiday - Villa Chloe fits the bill. The villa and location are perfect. Just sitting, watching the insects, birds and wildlife - bliss. We can't say much about the tavernas as we stayed in most nights - we just like being here.

Just listen, look, soak up the surrounding with some local wine.

A huge millipede crossed the downstairs floor - had to catch it in the kitchen bin and put it outside. So remember to keep the doors shut or the screen down.

Watch the sunset from Villa Chloe balcony!

  • 2015
    • Mr Price, August 2015

      Delightful Villa

Very comfortable and clean. Owners helpful and welcoming, Peppos gave us some lovely, freshly picked plums!

Zakynthos town very good and enjoyed some tasty Gyros at the 'Slup' (market on Thursday). Recommend boat trip from Porto Vromi - about 3 hours at 15 euros each, take some refreshments, took us to Shipwreck Cove and a couple of others, had a late lunch at the tavern at the top on the way back, very good tavern/beach at Limnionas busy by 10am and no sunbeds left, so drove 5 minutes to Porta Roxa and good choice of tavernas with free sunbeds if you eat there. Did have dinner at the Limionas taverna and watched the sunset, food was okay.

Ate at the mill one night but unimpressed and it was empty, 1/4 of the menu unavailable.

Favourite taverna by far is "Dennis" at Lithakis, fantastic food and value.

Wi-Fi works best on balcony! Couldn't work out TV! Great welcome pack!

Don't forget to put your key plate in the fob near front door (like us!), as the electric goes off!

    • Mrs Winter, August 2015

      Great Holiday

Lovely villa, very well maintained by Peppos & Victoria

Had some lovely days out, car is essential! Shipwreck Cove is a must see visit!

Visited Tsilvi a couple of times on the other side of the island, lovely seaside town, beautiful beach with sun-loungers available at 6 euros.

Great holiday, would love to return some day.

  • 2014
    • Mr Brooke, September 2014

Having just returned from 7 days of pure bliss and tranquillity at Villa Chloe in Zakynthos, we just wanted to say a big thank you for everything about this holiday. Whilst it may not suit everyone due to the peace and quiet, for us it was perfect and we can honestly say that this was possibly / definitely the best 'holiday' we have ever had as a couple. The villa was spotless and comfortable and had every facility we needed. If we could offer one positive and constructive suggestion it would be in relation to the steps into / from the pool. The first step out of the pool is quite high and maybe the steps should have been placed at the shallower end to ease the climb out as this currently would create a problem for someone with a disability to reach the first step. Apart from that we can honestly say a massive thank you as this was our first villa holiday and we will undoubtedly be back!!!

    • Mr Mitchell, June 2014

Best villa we have had to date, more like staying in 5 star hotel. Pepos and victoria really know how to make you feel welcome and at home. Attention to detail really made a difference.

    • Mr Roberts, July 2013

The villa is the heart and soul of the vacation and Chloe did not fail to deliver. Agios Leon is an extremely picturesque part of Zakynthos set back in the hills away from the regular noise and bussle. The villa felt secure & safe for the children, being set back in its own grounds with a single track ensuring no unwelcome guests. The owners couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect!!

    • Mr Kimberley, June 2013

The owners are amazing. Being inobtrusive but always there if you need them. They clean the pool and clean the villa almost daily and yet you rarely see them. I really can't say enough good things about this Villa and it's owners. If you want a totally chilled relaxing time this is definitely the place you want to be!

I doubt this Villa could be bettered on the Island, if peace and quiet is the requirement.
It is of a high standard in a lovely setting, and the attention and kindness of the owners who live nearby is exceptional.

Villa is high quality, well located, kept spotless, quiet and off the beaten track. Although it's a development of 5 villas, each one is quite private. You do need a car here as it's 500m to the road, and 1.5km to Agios Leon village. Victoria , Vuola and Pepos keep everything to a very high standard. We had an excellent week here in early May.
