We have just returned from our first James Villas Holiday and just wanted to thank you for our wonderful holiday. The Villa was great (Villa Nino) and the rep was very helpful. Thank you we will definitely be back. Kim and Steve O'Neill.

Liked the addition of cushions to the lounge and bedrooms- made it look so much more homely.

Excellent villa - just what we wanted. Very clean indeed and nice little touches throughout. There was plenty of space inside and out and it was great having the two bathrooms between us. Total privacy and all we needed was there. It was one of the most relaxing holidays we've had.

The villa on a whole was very good a little bit of wear and tear but nothing to lose any sleep over. Would not hesitate in booking it again.

    • Mr Souter, August 2009

Booked at the last minute for a restful holiday and that was certainly achieved. The villa enabled us to relax and provided us with everything we needed. Thank you

    • Mrs Shields, August 2008

Our holiday was all we wished for and more. The location of the villa was excellent and the cleanliness and facilities were of a high standard. It was great to have the peace and quiet and of an independent traveller yet the security of a representative if required.

    • Miss Bayliss, May 2008

We had a lovely relaxing holiday, we didn't want to come back, and if the option was avaiable we would have liked to have stayed on an extra 2 nights

    • Mrs Vennard, April 2008

wonderful holiday, we have traveled with james for 16 years....you questions miss the point a bit in that we were lucky enough not to need our rep therefore cannot comment on her service- your process doesn't however let us day this !!

    • Mrs Cutt, March 2008

The villa overall far exceded our expectations, so much space, truly wonderful and will be booking again soon for next year. Thank you.

This was our fifth holiday with James and as usual the villa was excellent and the general description and distances to amenities was spot on. A villa holiday is so peaceful with only ourselves to please and no timetables to adhere to for meals etc. This is exactly what we have come to expect and the villas and areas we choose in Lanzarote never disappoint. While a little more expensive than 'packages' the ability to come and go as you please and not be restricted to hotel times, sharing the pool, queuing for loungers is a major bonus. We will definitely be using James Villa again.

Alarm in villa did not work & front fell off several times.
In general villa in dire need of TLC

Family (the eldest child is at school)
Positives: A really big villa, plenty of space indoors and out. We hardly even used the indoor dining area and the "extra" living room. Really good outdoor area, the patio and pool area definitely are the main strengths of this property. Great location if you like a quiet residential area. Very close to the old town.

Negatives: As mentioned by many other reviewers, the (very dated) interior décor, and grubby bathrooms, really lets this property down. The bathrooms are especially poor quality. Looking at the number of similar comments, I'd expect the owners to give the place a bit of a freshen up. It has a disproportionately small kitchen compared to the rest of the villa, but big enough considering the large (dark!) dining room.

Great villa in a quiet residential street but with easy access to the costal path leading to the Old Town harbour.
We travelled with two teenage daughters and the villa was too large for our needs (we didn't use the second indoor seating area or the dining table). There are a couple of plumbing issues which are fairly common in Lanzarote villas such as when using the nicer en-suite shower water leaked onto the floor in the main bathroom. The bath in the main bathroom is badly in need of replacing.
Outdoor area is great and the pool, although a little old, was clean. The black gate to enter the villa grounds can stick at times - it caused a bit of panic the first time we discovered this when we thought we couldn't get in!

Lovely quiet location with a nice large pool. Everything worked ok (apart from one or two lights), the only thing I would say is keep the villa as cool as possible during the day, because it has no Air-Con, and one very poor fan on a stand was all we could find. The bathrooms are a little tatty, but we did not come here to spend a holiday in a bathroom! Overall a good base with plenty of room.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Nino, it is very spacious, and the location is very quiet but not too far away from the Marina, which is always a buzzing atmosphere. The only criticism that I have was that the whole decor was tired looking. The 2 bathrooms, certainly need a make over, but this did not spoil our holiday, as it was a birthday surprise.
Hopefully if we do get to go back again, the decor has been updated.

There is plenty of space but the upkeep and maintenance of the villa is not good. Damage over the years not repaired ie netting from one window missing so could not sleep with window open (reported), window catches broken in rooms, not able to open window at all in another bedroom, rotten wood in bathrooms, door handles in kitchen sticky and dirty. Villa needs complete overall- cleaning and decorating. Swimming pool was obviously not cleaned as green rim around and though no adverse effects from using pool swimming clothes turned yellow after swimming in pool.

Villa Nino has rather "tired" and dark décor. Bathrooms/plumbing and inside lighting could be improved, although hot water was plentiful. There was no WiFi and TV was limited. Sunbeds were old and not adjustable.

On the plus side, Nino is in a very good, quiet, location with good security and safe. It is spacious with easy parking and a good supermarket nearby. The pathway leading to town restaurants is also close by and there are views of the sea and hills from the villa.

Stayed here a few yrs ago and enjoyed it then also. Perhaps some areas such as main bathroom in need of some refurbishment. Also lighting in some areas needs looking at. some switches don't seem to have any function. Washing machoine was also slightly problematic and we had to contact manufacturer as we couldn't open door at end of wash cycle.
We had some personal problems whilst there involving hospital admission and Rep Jennie was excellent in helping to resolve matters. 10/10.
