Kidderminster Family (the eldest child is at school)
- Claudio is in a fantastic position overlooking the entire town of Playa Blanca. The area is peaceful, however car definitely essential! Pool slightly overlooked by neighbour on one side if tht matters to you though we didn't actually see the residents more than once in the fortnight.
Patio/outside dining always in shade which was a bonus to us - sun loungers for sun worshippers available too. Pool was delightful & kept as clean as possible with so much sand being brought in by the wind, though we never did find the switch for the underwater pool light. Pool cover would have been good to keep some heat in overnight but nothing lost without it. Poolman & cleaner both left chemicals within our childrens reach after they had left, but luckily I got to them before the children did. A couple of our inflatables went missing several days before we left including our babies swim seat, so lock them in the house if you can't afford to lose them!
Beds are VERY low but comfortable & extra pillows/duvets available. Spa bath starts up of its own accord at random times, even though there are signs stating neither of them work!
Sadly air conditioner in living room did not cool (only circulate air) so was difficult to keep villa cool for the children with only the one air conditioning unit in the small bedroom working (but plenty of fans thankfully)
The drive is extremely steep & scrapes the underside of the car - make sure you have adequate insurance for hire car as it may remove the exhaust system!
Washing machine & line right round far side of villa in cabinet - easy to miss if you don't go looking. Wi-Fi was adequate but passcode given was incorrect. We got there eventually with the help of someones scribbled notes!
Would be nice if some essentials could be provided as standard (washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, bin bags).
