Just 10 kilometres south of the airport, Caleta de Fuste is built around an 18th Century fortified tower and pleasure harbour. Try the local specialitites, including paella, queso majorero (vegetarian dish), jamon serrano (cured ham), papas arrogadas (potatoes), puchero (goat stew), mojo (spicy sauce), traditional tapas, sangria, ron miel (honey rum) and arechucas (Canarian rum).
You will find plenty of nightlife in the center of Caleta de Fuste, with many of the bars offering free entertainment, sports fixtures, live music and karaoke.
Markets take place every Tuesday and Saturday at the Recinto.
The area of Caleta de Fuste is well-known for its turtle and dolphin population. Catch a boat trip and you may be lucky enough to spot one of these beautiful creatures!
Oasis Park is a great tropical theme park for the whole family to enjoy. Experience the beautiful botanical gardens and visit the many species of exotic animals, including camels, giraffes and zebras. You can also take part in camel rides or watch the sea-life show that takes place here.
La Lajita Zoo, located in Oasis Park puts on four different shows with the animals, including sea lionsm reptiles, parrots and birds of prey. There is also a petting farm, childrens playground and you can take a ride on a camel.
Baku Water park is a great fun family day out. As well as slides and wave pools, you can also play a game of crazy golf or ten-pin bowling.
Jump on the mini resort train for a fun way to explore the town. Hop on and hop off at various locations.
The Salt Museum, just outside of Caleta de Fuste is an interesting way to learn about the importance of salt in our lives, especially within the Canary islands. you will see how salt is made from sea water. Afterwards, you can have a snack in the museum's bar and buy souvenirs in the gift shop.

15 km inland from Caleta de Fuste, attracts around 200 exhibitors from all over the Canary Islands. Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days. Free Admission and parking. It's held at the Antigua Windmill/Cheese Museum site.
