Santa Margalida is a small agricultural town in the flat countryside close to Alcudia and Ca'n Picafort and within easy reach of the larger towns of Inca and Manacor. Some charming local restaurants and shops dot the centre of town whilst the 5km beach at Ca'n Picafort is just a 15 minute drive away. Festes de Santa M...local event
This festival, celebrating the town's patron saint - St Margaret - lasts for nearly 3 weeks in July with 20th July being the key day for concerts, dancing and food. The locals celebrate in the traditional Mallorcan way, with giants, fire runs, sports, live music and guided tours.
Festes de la Beatalocal event
The Festes de la Beata is celebrated to honour Santa Catalina Tomas. Several Mallorcan towns celebrate this fiesta in her honour.
