The town square is a popular meeting place on warm summer evenings, and also on market days when you can buy anything from fresh produce to local crafts and carvings, leather goods and ceramics. Young families adore the wide, gently shelving sandy beach which stretches for over a mile around the huge horseshoe bay. Parents equally appreciate the pavement restaurants and cafés lining the pedestrian Pine Walk where they can relax and watch over the kids while they play. You’ll find all sorts of watersports on offer, as well as boat trips to the spectacular beach on the Formentor peninsular. Romantic walks along the coastline lead you to remote beaches inaccessible by car.

Puerto Pollensa offers livelier and more varied nightlife options than its mother town, Pollensa, with many bars and restaurants and a family friendly atmosphere.
There are numerous local and international bars around the main square with a good range of pavement café style eateries and even a time locked disco, Chivas, that first opened in 1969 and hasn't changed much since!
The sea front is pedestrianised and home to lots more cafés and restaurants as well as souvenir and trinket stalls. Its a pleasant spot to take an evening stroll.
Souvenir shops, Beach wear, Food and drink
There are several vineyards in Mallorca with the majority around the town of Binisalem, south of Inca. Nearest to Pollensa there are vineyards in Petra and Muro as well as Santa Margalida, however there is also a vineyard close to Pollensa itself that is rapidly growing in popularity - Ca'n Vidalet - which is located in the countryside between the old town and Puerto Pollensa.
A regular ferry boat offers trips to the Formentor peninsular, docking at the family friendly sandy beach. The ferry leaves from the jetty at Puerto Pollensa, by the Marina. Tickets can be obtained at the office at the end of the car park. There are also glass bottom boat trips available from here.
Many boat trips are also available from the Port of Alcudia where there is even a ferry to Menorca.
There is a sports centre in Port De Alcudia with many facilities whilst in Palma the Spanish 2nd division side RCD Mallorca play at the Son Moix stadium.
The annual Ironman competition is held every 9th may in the area.
Golf open senior will be played on the Pula Golf course at Son Servera in May.
The headland of Formentor with the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor. Drive up the winding and steep mountain road to the amazing view point at the top and then down the other side, perhaps stopping at the beach, on the way to the Cap de Formentor lighthouse where there is also a small café.
S'Albufeira nature reserve - near Alcudia - wetlands full of bird and wildlife. Take a walk or cycle ride and see how many varieties you can spot. Be sure to use anti mosquito creams!
There are 3 waterparks on the island with the Hidropark, Alcudia being the nearest to Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia. The Hidropark offers a wide range of slides ranging from the gentle to the hair raising and there are lost of sunbathing areas for those less inclined to hurl themselves down a giant tube!
Puerto Pollensa is a relatively "new" town, having been a former fishing village and harbour serving Pollensa. The main square with the imposing church of Nostra Senyora de Carmen is home to the weekly market on Wednesday mornings.
The Museum of Dionnis Bennassar can be found in Pollensa town. Dionnis was a famous local painter from Pollensa and many of his works adorn the walls of our villas!
The fishing village of Cala San Vicente is located via a turn off on the road from Puerto Pollensa to Pollensa town and has some lovely, cove beaches with impressive mountain backdrops.
