As with most busy resorts in Mallorca there is a wide variety of pavement cafes and tapas bars. Try the local fish or tapas in the centre or find a local roadside restaurant (look for local cars and taxis parked outside to experience the food the locals eat) and try the Pimientos de Padron (fried green peppers - sometimes you'll find a hot one..) and a leg or shoulder of lamb for mains. If you like Rioja wines, try a local red from Binisalem and taste how far the Mallorcans have advanced in wine production!
Ca's Concos offers a quiet and relaxed nightlife with a handful of cafés, restaurants and a tapas bar located in the narrow streets around the main square.
Night owls in search of later entertainment may wish to travel a little further up the coast to Cala d'Or
Nearby Felanitx is in the centre of the islands second most important wine production areas, Llevent & Pla, which is renowned for the quality of its whites and fresh red wines. Its is said that 9 out of every 10 bottles of Mallorcan wine consumed on the island are from this area.
Nearby Petra also produces some wines of note.
The Parc Natural de Mondrago is a beautiful area of protected countryside awarded the status of Natural Park in the 60's and is a haven for wildlife including native tortoise. As well as great swathes of pine forest, offering cool shade ideal for picnics, there are also some stunning beaches including Cala Mondrago, s'Amarador & Fonts s'Alis.
Felanitx is surrounded by beautiful countryside which can be best appreciated from the Sanctuary San Salvador and the Castle Santueri, both standing on majestic peaks.
The nearby port of Cala Figuera is well worth a visit and a regular bus service will avoid the need to hunt for a parking space in the busy summer months. Also worth a visit is the popular seaside resort of Cala d'Or with its many restaurants and shops and several , sandy cove beaches. Further south the great natural beaches of Sa Rapita, Es Trenc and Ses Covetes face the island of Cabrera across the glittering sea.
Cas Concos is a small village in the municipality of Felanitx and whilst there is a small, main square where you will find the church of Sant Nicolau, most locals go to the main town, Felanitx for shopping and entertainment.
Felanitx is a typical Mallorcan agricultural town with numerous shops, cafés and restaurants all surrounding the impressive church of San Miguel, scene of a great disaster in 1844 when the walls of the church fell and killed 414 people taking part in the Palm Sunday procession.
There is a weekly market held every Sunday morning.
The Parc Natural de Mondrago is an area of outstanding beauty awarded protected natural park status in 1992 to preserve its splendid peace and stunning scenery. Its also home to a wide variety of birds and animal wildlife.
The coastline of Cala d'Or, Porto Colom and down to Cala Santanyi offers wonderful, hidden coves and popular sandy beaches. Further south the long beaches of Sa Rapita and Es Trenc offer space and natural beauty as well as the opportunity to bare all on the naturist beach.
