C’an Picafort shares the same sweeping bay as Alcudia, but offers a much quieter holiday destination. The resort has a long expanse of beach and a good selection of shops, restaurants and pavement cafés that line the promenade. From here, you can also take a boat trip from the marina. Nearby, the Natural Park of Albufera is popular with birdwatchers when rare migrant species are visiting the wetlands.

Head to the beach for a fantastic mid afternoon Paella or "fideua" (Paella made with noodles instead of rice)
Locals only eat Paellas in the afternoon - never at night - its too heavy to aid restful sleep!
Beach bars & restaurants - "chiringuitos"
There are several late bars in the area but for a livelier night out head for neighbouring Playa de Muro and Alcudia.
Many boat trips are available from nearby Port of Alcudia where there is even a ferry to Menorca. further on, Puerto Pollensa also offers regular boat trips to the Formentor peninsular where there is a great family beach and some extraordinary viewpoints.
The S'albufeira natural park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and attracts birds from all over Europe during the nesting season or on stop overs during migratory flights. The park is open from morning till dusk and is criss crossed with well signed pathways. Remember to use sun cream and anti mosquito potions.
There are 3 waterparks on the island with the Hidropark, Alcudia being the nearest.The Hidropark offers a wide range of slides ranging from the gentle to the hair raising and there are lost of sunbathing areas for those less inclined to hurl themselves down a giant tube!
There is a local tourist market every Friday morning in C'an Picafort whilst larger, more traditional markets can be found in nearby Santa Margalida on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The largest and most popular market can be found in the streets of Inca every Thursday.
