Boasting one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza, Cala Conta is the perfect location for a tranquil villa holiday. Paella, tapas, fresh seafood, Mediterranean grilled meats and vegetables, Alioli (garlic sauce), Flao (local cheesecake with herbs and honey). You will most likely get to try a shot of Hierbas after a meal, a traditional Eivissan spirit made of herbs, good for digestion.
In the summer months you can head to the beach in the evenings to one of the beach restaurants, where you can frequently find DJs playing in the sunset. Visit San Antonio or San Jose for a good restaurant and jug of Sangria, or one of Ibiza's famous superclubs lined between the main road from Ibiza town to San Antonio.
Established in 1997, Can Rich Buscatell winery and wine growing estate use ecological farming techniques along with modern and traditional methods to create Ibicencan wine. The estate is located a short drive away, just outside of San Antonio.
In the height of the summer, you can hop on a ferry from cala conta to San Antonio Bay. From San Antonio bay, you can travel further on one of the many ferries, boat trips and excursions that sail around the island. Make a trip to Es Vedra, Portinatx, Formentera, San Miguel and Margaritas, all of which can be booked at the marina.
Cala Conta is surrounded by a beautiful, white sandy coastline, and is one of Ibiza's renowned spots for spectacular sunsets. From the beaches, you will enjoy the glistening colours of the turquoise water and views of S'Illa des Bosc, a small island which juts out of the sea.
Air Zone is an unusual attraction park, where you can roll around in inflatable orbs, often known as 'zorbing'.
A short drive towards Ibiza town will take you to Aguamar in Playa den Bossa, the islands family fun waterpark with over 7 sets of slides and a picnic area.
Being a small island means everything can be reached by bus or car quickly and easily. Don't forget to explore the main hubs of the island; Ibiza town, San Antonio and Santa Eulalia, and maybe buy a souvenir from the hippy market at Es Canar.
