Located in Salou, Port Aventura is a fantastic attraction park, recently voted the most popular in Spain. Due to its size, it is split into six sections each with their own theme. These include the Far West section where you can enjoy a white-knuckle whitewater raft along the Grand Canyon, and the Mediterranean section, where you can experience the fastest rollercoaster in Europe! As well as rides to get your adrenalin pumping, Port Aventura offers a waterpark, plenty of dining options and spectacular shows. One of the most famous Spanish cities, Barcelona is well worth a visit when you are holidaying in the Costa Dorada. Despite its size, it is easy to explore on foot, and there are many walking routes to ensure you experience all that there is to see. Without a doubt, one of Barcelona's top attractions is the modernist architecture, and the works of Antoni Gaudí. Just walking around you'll come across various examples of Gaudí's work throughout the city. The most famous are the Sagrada Família, impressive both outside and in; Park Güell, a space that emulates an English garden city; and La Pedrera. Barcelona is brimming with history, culture, architecture, superb cuisine, shopping and nightlife.
Tarragona offers a fantastic and varied day out. You can spend hours strolling along its colourful streets, relax on the sandy beaches, or visit the historic Roman monuments declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Shoppers can also find all they need within walking distance in the different commercial areas, or simply by strolling along Rambla Nova, a bustling strip that runs from the busy Plaça Imperial Tàrraco, to the famous “Balcó del Mediterrani”. Along the length of Rambla Nova and on the adjacent streets there is a wide range of shops from antiques to high-end designers.
