Conveniently situated between Benalmadena and Fuengirola, Torremuelle makes an excellent base for your holiday to the Costa del Sol. This seaside resort boasts wonderful views across the Mediterranean and boasts wonderful sandy beaches with shallow sea waters. In close proximity to many attractions in Benalmadena such as a theme park, butterfly park and marine park, it really does make a great base for families, particularly as its neighbouring resorts are so well connected by the local train line.

For some typically Spanish tapas such as Pil Pil Prawns, patatas bravas, spicy meatballs and many more yummy dishes head towards Benalmadena where you will find an array of Spanish and other international restaurants.
Torremuelle offers a good selection of bars and restaurants, many with their charming terraces overlooking the sea. For a bigger selection or a more lively atmosphere you are not far from the bustling resort centre of Fuengirola.
Selwo Marina Delfinarium
This charming park is dedicated to dolphins, sea lions and exotic birds, with entertaining and educational shows and opportunities for interactive experiences both in and out of the water, including swimming with sea lions. There’s also a delightful playground and on-site restaurants so you can take your time and explore at your own pace. It’s located just a few minutes’ drive from Torremuelle near Benalmadena.
The magical Tivoli World at Benalmadena, just 15 minutes from Torremuelle, offers plenty of fun for all the family, with fairground rides, amusement stalls, go-karts, train tours and variety shows to suit visitors of all ages. Set in beautiful gardens with illuminated fountains and an array of bars and eateries to choose from, you can happily spend all evening here. Opening hours vary according to the time of year, with summer evenings open until 1am.
Sea Life Aquarium Benalmadena
A great family day out, the Sea Life Aquarium just 10 minutes from Torremuelle provides hours of fun as well as informative talks and activities based on sea life of all shapes and sizes. Sharks, giant turtles, rays and seahorses are just some of the star attractions, with a fabulous underwater tunnel offering exceptional close-up views. The centre is open daily year-round.
Representing a new concept of zoo, the Bioparc at Fuengirola emphasises respect for nature and the preservation of species by recreating the natural habitats from various eco-systems around the world and encouraging the animals to live side-by-side. It’s known as an ‘immersion zoo’ where visitors can take a guided walk right through tropical woodland and discover the interaction between animals as well as learning about the environment. Open daily throughout the year, the park is in the centre of Fuengirola, 15 minutes from Torremuelle.
A wonderful trip up into the Sierra Blanca lowlands brings you to the typical Andalusian whitewashed town of Mijas. It has fabulous views across the mountains and out over the coastline. La Muralla park and botanical gardens incorporate the old defensive walls of the town in their design. They’re located beside the Mijas bullring and offer a superb vantage point from which to admire the spectacular coastal views.
Inaugurated in 1900, the unusual oval-shaped Mijas Bullring has played host to some of Spain’s most renowned bullfighters over the years, some of whom are commemorated on the tiles lining the walls. Bullfights still take place here during the summer months. There’s also a small bullfighting museum to convey the art and history of the bullfight.
