The Costa del Sol is aptly named, offering a seemingly infinite selection of sun drenched beaches. The region has stunning scenery, from impressive outlooks of the Mediterranean Sea to fabulous mountain views. The culture in the area varies from the glamorous, modern way of life in Marbella, to beautifully unspoilt, traditional havens with a slower pace of life - a reminder of how Spanish life used to be. Activities and attractions are plentiful, with everything from aqua parks, boat trips and ample golf courses, to museums, theatres and quaint old towns - to name just a few.
Our Costa del Sol villas scatter the sun-kissed southern coastline. Few places are more à la mode and its beaches are its national treasure. Choose from protected natural beauties or lively resorts, where an assortment of attractions have sprung up in complement of their chic locale.
Costa del Sol Beaches
With many of the beaches awarded the blue flag status, the Costa del Sol sets a high standard. Golden sands and pure clear waters are the trademark of the coastline. With a variety of beaches to choose from, activities such as swimming, snorkelling and many types of water sports are on offer, as well as simply relaxing and topping up a tan. Local amenities include beach bars and restaurants, catering for families and couples alike.
Costa del Sol Food
With many restaurants dotted along the coast line, there is no shortage of places to eat. Local delicacies include sumptuous seafood, freshly caught in the area, whilst most restaurants will offer traditional Spanish tapas as well. Away from the coast, the mountain villages pride themselves on their gastronomy talents, whereas the bigger resorts will cater with more international cuisine, providing something for everyone. No matter the resort, expect to find plentiful portions and prepare to eat at a leisurely pace in the true Spanish manner.
Costa del Sol Attractions
Tourist attractions are plentiful in the Costa del Sol. Choose from aqua parks, boat and ferry trips, natural caves and spectacular marinas. For those interested in a more sporting holiday, there are ample golf courses to play. The Costa del Sol is locally nicknamed as the Costa del Golf, such is the array of courses. Along the coastline, water sports can be found, as can various day trip excursions. Travelling between the resorts is very simple, with one major road connecting them all.
Costa del Sol Nightlife
Nightlife in the Costa del Sol can vary from being fast paced to a more relaxing amble depending on the resort. With internationally renowned discos and bars, the bigger resorts are very popular with tourists and locals alike. Here, you will be able to dance the night away. Aside from the busier resorts, the mountain villages offer quieter retreats. The bars and restaurants prefer to offer local delights with a more leisurely feel.

Family (with only pre-school children)
The outside area was amazing
A few things need fixing to bring it up to standard we paid for. The car rental that was organised was lengthy, the bus took ages to pick us up and with small children it was difficult.
