Cleanliness, interior ok, exterior filthy, pool ok when filter on, sun beds and furniture very dirty.
Two tables outside, one seated 6 people and the one that seated 8 could not seat 8 wherever it was positioned due to wall supports.

6 sun beds for 8 people, only 2 side tables which were filthy. Mismatched pool towels, no umbrella’s if needed.

Grass needed cutting

No sun after 2pm on main area. The sun was on a patron by the pool where you could fit 3 sun beds.

15 minute walk to main hotel and restaurants. 10 minute walk to spar supermarket. 15/20 minute walk to the few bars and restaurants outside resort.

15 euros to los Alcázares, 16 euros return
32 euros each way to Cartagena

Quite a remote area.

Awful smell of fertiliser from afternoon onwards, by early evening you are unable to sit outside for the 2/3 hours as smell is so bad.

Very nice villa with everything we needed. The resort staff were really helpful with everything from giving us ideas on what to do on a rainy day, to getting the pool cleaner out after a storm. Can not recommend it highly enough and we will definitely return.

We stay on this resort a lot and the location and general maintenance and facilities are as we expect however, we were slightly disappointed by the attention to detail of the residences owned by the hotel compared to private apartment/villa rentals. Lights were hanging off by their wires at the bedside, cupboards and drawers were not attached to the walls and fell forward if you were not careful, the chrome on the taps had worn away leaving green and rust that looked unsightly, behind the cabinets and on top of door frames were thick with dust and there was minimal provision in the kitchen (we bought a toothbrush holder, mugs, a grate etc) it was nice to have the apartment cleaned weekly and the accommodation was high quality and comfortable. I would expect to be told on checkin that I needed to put a deposit on a hairdryer as this took me a few days to find out! Generally good, but could do better Mar Menor!

Family (with only pre-school children)
After being a loyal customer of James Villas, this property makes me wonder if I will ever book through you again. It is apparent that you don't have good quality control over your suppliers. Here are all of the issues and we have photos to support most of these:

- Dishes and cutlery were dirty and we had to spend time cleaning them
- Doors creaked and clearly had not been oiled
- Mould in the bathroom
- The bath tap would not work - it was locked onto shower mode (however this was fixed during our stay)
- One of the toilet seats had significant wear and tear on it, was discoloured and unappealing to use and look at (this was replaced during our stay)
- Air conditioner upstairs was leaking water. We had a wet towel on the ground at all times
- Toilet door downstairs did not lock and offered no privacy for people using it (this was fixed towards the end of our stay)
- Couch was broken and the frame kept moving apart and pushing out, making it uncomfortable to sit on. This was adjusted after a couple of days, but within 24 hours it started to poke out again. Clearly this couch is broken and the management company are nursing it through the holiday season and not interested in replacing it.
- Glass sliding doors to the garden were not cleaned - they were filthy with water marks and fingerprints all over them.

We had family join us from Australia for this holiday - they travelled for 28 hours on an aeroplane to stay in this really disappointing villa. We really talked up James Villas by telling them how great you were in the past, however you embarrassed us with this property. If this is the acceptable standard of James Villas properties, we will consider looking elsewhere in the future.

Superb Villa in a well kept location.
Only a very minor complaint about the smell of dog poo from Villa number 25 next door. They have a lovely friendly dog but he is left to roam all day and the smell of a poo that had not been picked up by the owners was unpleasant. Overall we had a fantastic time and loved it.
