Villa Hilton was rather a disappointment from the time we arrived and looked around inside. The outside of the villa needs redecorating as it looks a bit tatty. Inside the villa on the ground floor is nice with a good sized lounge, bedroom and ensuite bathroom but things change for the worse when you go downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs is a basement bedroom which is probably ok for children but not for adults in our opinion. Upstairs has two bedrooms with a bathroom which is very small and with a large column which restricts the area quite considerably. The other bedroom has an area which has a shower,wc,and wash basin in it and is the smallest area I have ever seen,so be aware if you are larger than average. There was again a big electrical problem with it keep tripping out which proved very annoying to such an extent we had to source the problem ourselves to maintain both power and lighting. The outside garden area is fantastic with excellent views over the golf course and is the best we have seen out of many villas we have used. There may be many people who may not be bothered about our findings so don’t be put off as this is our opinion only as we expect value for money and this wasn’t.

Good location. The only negatives were the bathrooms, other than the master bathroom, which were dark, small and cramped, with poor showers. The downstairs bathroom had no hot water whatsoever. Not a huge problem as only 5 of us staying there. Upgrading the bathrooms would enable the owner to charge top price for the villa, and would have made our tsay more comfortable.

I have quite contrasting views about this villa. We did in fact have a lovely holiday here, so if anyone has already booked, I am sure you will have a great time. However, there were one or two points which were raised prior to our arrival which were never rectified. Firstly the exterior could do with re-painting, on arrival we thought it looked shabby and our hearts sank, luckily interior décor was up to scratch, if a little dated in parts. The garden boasts on the website it has a bread oven. We were informed prior to arrival this is for 'decorative purposes' and not usable? So why advertise it? The clocks in the villa were broken/batteries dead and despite asking three times for them to be fixed, they never were. Seems petty I know, but we had a baby with us and needed some idea of the time and when you are around the pool you don't wear a watch. Our biggest disappointment was the fourth bedroom, it was in the basement. Dark and smelt awful, we decided not to use it and two singles buddied up, we might as well have used a 3 bedroom villa. Don't believe the details that there are restaurants and a mini-market a 15 minute walk away, it takes much longer okay for the young twenty somethings in our party but not for older guests. I would suggest car hire, but we used taxis, 5 Euros to old village and just a little more to Marina. Land train is also useful, but very bumpy and can prove more expensive than taxi if there are more than a couple of you. Garden was lovely and borrowed view of the golf course did enhance the vista but beware, we had at least 4 golf balls land in the garden which could have proved dangerous if they had hit us. We did experience electrical problems whilst there, beware if lots of appliances are on, electrics trip out but easily remedied by flicking trip switch back on. Hot water is run by gas bottle and ran out one evening, but was changed within a couple of hours. Pool water was very cold when we arrived but warmed up to a refreshing cool by the time we left.

The villa needs some 'TLC' - there were a few things, wardrobe in front bedroom had a really horrible smell, the showers upstairs need some attention, the outside front area needs some attention also, clocks not working in the villa. The BBQ was really dirty. The pizza oven had a huge ants nest inside. The pool should really be heated as we did not get full use of the pool. It was such a shame as the pool and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. The pool was also dirty and we never saw anyone attempting to clean the pool whilst we were there. The villa location is also a bit further out from the marina than first thought.
