Villa is very difficult to find, poor numbering of doors doesn't help. Security on the downstairs bedrooms concerned me as patio open to public footpaths and shared pool is really a resort pool so often busy for a small pool. Location very isolated nothing around by foot and a car is essential so ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday away from it all. Villa inside was lovely, decorated nicely and downstairs bedrooms always cool. Bit noisy with neighbours either side and you could hear door shutting and chairs scaping the floor. Cooking facilities great which is essential being so isolated.

We're sorry if this villa was not really what you and your family had in mind, however we are pleased there were things you did like about the property and we hope you had a nice time whilst staying there.

The villa was great - very clean and spacious. It had been recently decorated and is actually much nicer than in the online photos. We loved the swimming pool and gardens which were excellently maintained. The only negative was the terrible wifi !!

Really nice Villa, very clean throughout, thoughtful additions such as starter pack of drinking water, crisps, bread, milk and beer! Good location within golf resort. Pool was big enough for kids to enjoy - we went in April and was glad that we payed the extra to get it heated.

Nice villa, sadly numerous problems whilst we were there: broken bed, exploding glass lampshade, broken bedside cabinet, DVD player not working, flood under kitchen sink, washing machine on switch broken, electricity load problems, water off on 3 separate occasions (apparently this is a regular occurrence here.) Terrific winds around villa the whole time which may be nice if 40degrees temp but did make eating outside impossible & several days in pool too cold. Pool very nice though, heating essential. Would not go again mainly due to the villa's position being too windy. We were advised by people living there it is always very windy up there.

Apart from the power cuts (most nights so make sure you know where ALL the junction boxes are - there are 3 to check), we thought the vila was very special. An outdoor shower would have been useful - to keep soggy children from dripping through the house.

Villa Olivia is a lovely villa on a beautiful resort. I would never get fed up with the views from every room in the Villa. The gardens were beautiful and very well kept as was the whole property. The Villa was equipped to a very high standard and didn't want for anything. The Wifi dongal provided by reception did the trick perfectly. The open plan living room, dining room and Kitchen was huge so plenty of space for everyone. The utility room was kitted out with everything you need: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, board and clothes rack. The villa was about a 20 minute walk to the Spike bar where the food was amazing and the view over the golf course was fantastic. Just before there is the communal pool, spa and children's play area. To get to the football pitch and the Italian restaurant and reception you had to drive. Too far to walk. Things to consider with this villa. It is two flights of stairs from the living area to the pool, one flight from the bedrooms. If you have small children the stairs from the living area down to the bedrooms were quite steep and too wide for a stair gate. The same with the steps going down from the balcony to the pool. There is no gate. Also for the supermarket and other restaurants ( apart from Spike bar) you need a car. We went in March so paid a lot of money for Pool heating. This seemed to go off every now and again which was a bit frustrating not only because we had paid so much but it meant it was too cold for our little one. I personally found the beds very very hard. It did not bother my husband but this would be the only reason I would not go back to this Villa. Putting those niggles aside I would def recommend this villa for a group of adults wanting space, quiet and amazing views with an amazing pool ( when its warm) If you like golf you would be in heaven. We arrived home on Sat and booked flights on Sun for August. This part of Portugal is incredible. Clean, green and very friendly. Salema beach is the best I have been on.

St Albans Family with adult children
The villa looked great, but it was style over comfort. The beds were the worst we have ever slept in. The people in one of the rooms with single beds slept on the living room sofa as the mattresses were so bad. In any case this room was unusable after heavy rain as the room stank of damp which also permeated all the clothes stored there.
The pillows were over priced if they came from a £ shop & the duvets & bed linen were cheap & nasty.
Very disappointing as the villa looked so good.

Vila Vista Golf

We would hope that our customers find our villas comfortable and so it is a shame this was not the case for you. The beds are a personal preference but we have taken note of your comments about your discomfort and the bed linen. Sorry to hear that the rain affected one of the rooms in the villa, we hope that your representative was on hand to assist you with this.

At Vila Vista Golf, we have not had any report of any damp issues during your stay, or since. Bed comfort however is of course a matter of preference, but all beds are checked regularly to ensure they are in good condition including the linen.

Overall a spacious, clean and comfortable villa with a fine view over the golf course & surrounding area. Kitchen has adequate provision of crockery and utensils etc. for the occupation and multiple dining areas, inside & out are provided. Living room seating furniture rather 'tired' and grubby from a lot of use (could do with a good clean or replacement) but otherwise comfortable enough. Hopefuly the weather will be good enough that you will be outside antway! Mattresses in the bedrooms are VERY firm so beware if you suffer from a bad back!
Lovely pool accessible from the bedrooms & a BBQ on the balcony (would have been nice if the previous - unthoughtful - guests to use it had cleaned it after use!).
The pool & outdoor seating areas loose the sun from around mid afternoon so one cannot enjoy the sunshine during the evening mealtime etc. Car is essential here.

A very beautiful villa with lots of space. Our most important criticism is the dampness in all bedrooms which we couldn't solve even after speaking with your rep. It is fair to say that for the first 3 days the pool was warm( we paid £275 for the heating) but after that it was significantly cooler - despite covering it after use!!! Whilst we appreciate we were the last guests before the season finished a few more cups and glasses would have been useful. Lastly,we spoke to the rep on the second day to say extra bedding was needed as the nights were cold and we were told it would cost us!!!Very poor response.
