London Family (the eldest child is at school)
- Beautiful villa in an amazing location.
Had an amazing stay Easter 2017 - our Group included myself and husband, 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter plus my Mum and Step Dad. The location is set in the hills overlooking the local area out to sea.
The villa can easily accommodate 8 people - there were 6 of us but there was ample space. One note is that the floor plan is not correct, and we thought to our advantage, as the master bedroom is a lot bigger and there is a smaller first floor terrace. We had 3 bbqs at the villa and were able to cook easily for all of us in the kitchen. Facilities throughout the villa were great for a holiday.
The staff at the resort were wonderful. They were so accommodating - my Mum found a mobile in her hire car and they sorted it out so that it was returned to the owner. The lock on our front door broke while we were there and as fixed promptly and you got the definite impression that it mattered to the maintenance team......problems happen but when they do it is fantastic to see them fixed so quickly.
The pool area at the villa is beautiful and when the wind is low a perfect place to spend time, however if there is wind the main pool at the Veranda is more sheltered so provides a great alternative.
We don't play golf, but we used the gym and tennis courts - which were all great, although I think that 30 euro for the tennis court was steep and possibly why it was barely used while we were there.
The only downside was the Grill. The food and service was not great and was very overpriced for what it was. We had planned to eat at the restaurants most nights, but after our first meal we did not eat there again and decided not to try the main restaurant as were so disappointed with the meal at the Grill. Normally when you stay in a resort that has an award winning restaurant you expect there to be a high standard across the eateries. However, as mentioned the facilities in the villa are great - so we ate there in the evening. We also ate out lunch out - in Taveria (very pretty town and in our opinion worth a visit) and a few times at the Beach.
