It's no wonder that the Algarve is so popular! The sun always seems to be beaming and the nature of the locals feels even warmer. You've probably seen pictures of its amazing beaches, but the coastline is also blessed with majestic cliffs and inviting caves to discover. And no picture can ever compare to the real deal! There's lots of history and tradition for all you culture vultures to sink your teeth into, plus some top notch golf courses for you proud putters. The beauty of a villa holiday is that you've got the flexibility to tailor it to your budget. From Classic to Luxury, it's time to find your Cheap Holiday to the Algarve.
It's a common misconception that villa holidays are expensive! Like every other type of holiday it's simply a case of finding the best option for your budget. And it's more than likely that you'll be pleasantly surprised once you start doing the villa holiday math. If you're heading away in a large group our Algarve villas are an amazing way of spreading the cost, sleeping up to 16 guests. Imagine having all your friends and family under one roof, with the price of the villa divided – memorable moments and a cheap Algarve holiday are in easy reach. Whether your group's large or small, cooking for yourself will take the strain off your holiday budget too. Although it's definitely worth eating out once or twice, sampling fresh fish dishes or piri piri chicken.
Another tip is to think about your arrival day, we're flexible on these and bringing your departure date back or forward might help you save some money. It might not be as catchy as the original TV theme song, but Thursday, Saturday and Sunday are our Algarve happy days.
Our Deals and Offers are a great way to find value too, whether you're planning ahead or you've left it late. From money off your villa to free car hire or airport parking, you can keep up to date with all our latest deals here. Our last minute and last second holidays are a great way to snag a bargain too, with just weeks or days to go until you jet off for a little slice of paradise.
You'll never get bored of the Algarve, there's just so much to see and do! A boat trip lets you take in the coast with new eyes, admiring the cliffs in all their glory and nipping in and out of captivating sea caves. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and other marine life, although dedicated spotting tours give you your best chance to see pods dancing through the waves. Back on dry land there's two wonderful waterparks waiting for you, always a hit for families seeking some Algarve fun.
From historic castles and monuments in Loule to the fascinating seafaring past of Barril and Olhão – there's always a little something for all you culture vultures. The latter is home to an impressive fish market, showcasing the catch of the day that arrives in the area's largest fishing port. For something a little less nose tingling, head for the market stalls of Loule. With local trinkets, fresh produce and an Arabian influenced façade, this is a wonderful spot for some shopping.
There aren't too many beach destinations that can challenge the Algarve for its sandy crown! This is the stretch of coast that truly does it all. Need a quiet spot to unwind, it doesn't get more tranquil than beaches almost entirely hidden away behind the cliffs. If it only takes five minutes of sunbathing before you get bored, hop on your board and try your hand at watersports or dabble in beach activities like volleyball. Craving something completely different? Spoiler alert - our Algarve beach guide contains beaches that sit in caves, island stretches of sand and one that commemorates the local fishing history in truly unique style.
Finding the right resort is a key part in planning an amazing Algarve holiday. Vilamoura is sleek and stylish, with an embarrassment of riches when it comes to facilities. Choose from four championship golf courses, a casino and watersports or simply head down to the marina. An amazing spot for watching the world go by and spotting luxury yachts as the bob on the surface – drink in hand of course! Carvoeiro is a little less bustling, with a golden beach tucked behind the cliffs and the Algar Seco Natural Park nearby. Gale is even quieter and while it might be small, it is more than mighty. Its five kilometre beach is the highlight, with bars sitting above for those who love taking in the scenery. Estoi is a quaint hilltop town with a charming square, while Monchique and Boliquieme showcase the rural side to the area – you just can't beat that fresh countryside air. There's so many resorts to choose from!
