Newick Family with 2 adult
- Very spacious villa with 3 lovely big bedrooms, all ensuite.
Reception staff very helpful especially as our French is poor.
Décor a little tired in places - some light switches didn't seem to switch things on, perhaps a bulb needed replacing, don't know.
Kitchen is poorly equipped - we had to ask the restaurant for more knives, corkscrew, etc. There was no toaster, juicer, etc. but we did not want them. There were not enough glasses for 6 staying there either but we were only 4 so ok for us. No freezer! Asked restaurant for ice. American style fridge with ice or cold water dispenser but no instructions on how to use it.
Had to ask hotel for a 4th lounger which came promptly - would expect there to be 6 as the villa could take 6.
Air conditioning on the ground floor stunk of sewage. Mentioned it more than once to hotel and they just used scented candles - they knew there was a problem but did not seem able to do anything about it. Solution - turn off aircon.
There was a badly broken tile on the patio next to the pool and a round hole in the floor of the pool - both could cause injury.
Maids rang doorbell to come in and clean so you could chose not to have this if you wanted. Cleaning was generally good.
Hairdryer was in main bedroom ensuite so my daughter had to come into our bathroom to use it - why not have a portable one.
Pool and garden very private, not overlooked but other guests were a little noisy (only during the day and early evening and whilst using their pools, no problem at night).
Breakfast is included and very good especially the fresh orange juice.
