The idyllic hamlet of Bidnija, the second smallest village in Malta, is located between two sweeping valleys in the heart of Malta. It is still largely a farmer's village since it is entirely surrounded by fields which mainly belong to the inhabitants themselves, although in recent years many have moved here in order to enjoy the quiet life amidst the countryside. It makes a perfect base for exploring the more rural side of the island. A pretty chapel is located in the village centre, dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth, also not far is the famous Mosta Dome, the third largest unsupported dome in Europe.
