Porto Cervo is the main hub of the emerald, Costa Smeralda, and one of the most prestigious Italian seaside areas on Sardinia's north-eastern coast. From the sea you can also admire the lights of the numerous resorts present in the area such as Cala di Volpe, Liscia di Vacca and Baja Sardinia which are also considered very sought-after spots worth visiting along with a stunning variety of sumptuous beaches this region has to offer.

Most restaurants in Sardinia will serve fresh and quality produce, along with Italian wine. Seafood is always a good option, especially when by the coast - ask to see your fish before it is cooked for you. Olives and honey are locally produced in the area, or try hand made pasta and tasty pizzas.
The town of Porto Cervo and it's surrounding areas have lots of stylish nightlife. Many of the trendy establishments line the marina, clubs and discos can be found further out of town.

Just a short drive from the centre of Porto Cervo is the Cantina Surrau winery, which the traditional production of wine-making with modern surrounings and an interesting art gallery. Here you can sample wines throughout the day and into the evning in a relaxed and contemporary atmosphere. You can also sample local cheese, breads and hams and have lunch or dinner in the cafe bar.
You can take a boat trip to the neighbouring islands of La Maddalena Archipelago National Park and even further to the French island of Corsica.
The Aquadream waterpark in Baia Sardinia, 15 minutes away, is one of the first of it's kind in Sardinia, and provides fun for all the family with its variety of different winding chutes and water games. There is also a games room, cafe and relaxation area for those who do not want to get wet!
The highly exclusive harbour town of Porto Cervo is a great for finding a good cafe and just watching the world go by. Down by the marina, you may spot a famous face or two browsing the boutique designer shops along the waterfront. Dine in one of the fine restaurants, watching the yachts moor up in the sunshine.
Stella Maris Church is a relatively modern church built in the 1960s. The gleaming white buillding overlooks the harbour with a large clock on its wall which faces all the sailors.
Just North of the coast, a small cluster of islands make up La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, a marine protected area between Sardinia and Corsica. The island are home to a variety of wildlife and vegetation which are all protected.
