Cisternino is quite famous for it's Macellerias (Butcher's shops) which are different to those you find in the UK. Here you can select your meat and how you would like it cooked then sit outside or sometimes in a small restaurant across the street and enjoy freshly cooked local meat with a bottle of local wine. A fun and often inexpensive way to eat out!
