At the heart of this Italian region is Civitanova Marche. Once a small fishing village, the connection between land and sea still underpins the way of life here. The city has a dual soul that’s lovingly spread across two areas, running from the oldest part with its historic centre located in the hills, called Civitanova Alta, all the way down coastal area of Porrto Civitanova. The prestigious Blue Flag of Europe was awarded to Civitanova Marche in 2014, and it’s easy to see why. A favourite with noble families of the surrounding Italian destinations, many opt to holiday here for a chance to enjoy both the rolling countryside and sea. Their children are in tow, enjoying the shallow waters of its beautiful beaches. Today the area of Porto Civitanova is home to a pretty promenade full of shops for some retail therapy, bars where you can sit and have an aperitif, and night clubs for when night falls.View villas in Civitanova Marche
