Mrs Wells, July 2015
The view from this villa is pure therapy - we don't want to leave it. Lovely villa with simple layout with everything you need.
Beaches - our favourite was Tropicana (near Ionio) and Porto Azzuro. Gerakas was beautiful but arrived too late for sunbeds and no shade. We went to Dafni but the bridge was down and couldn't go back the long way so had hairy trip back up the mountain on small roads.
Restaurants - Ionio, beautiful setting on beach so got a breeze, delicious food but most expensive we went to. Smart.
Kosta Brothers - Atmospheric garden setting with live Greek music. Contrast to Ioni.
Giovannis - Hot! No breeze, food ok, we had live music again so good fun.
Windmill - We drove to Argassi & had cocktails in Orange Portokali on main street, very atmospheric. Then had meal on way back in Windmill - least favourite. Very busy, big and no air - very hot.
Taverna Bel Mare - we had lunch at Dafni beach here, delicious food - meze of Greek dishes. Yum!
Porto Azzuro - we had lunch here whilst on this beach, beautiful bay. Upmarket feel but only downside pumping music all day.
We also ordered fish and meat from man at the coffee house for BBQ's here.
Wasps have been an issue if eating outside so we moved the table to see the views and ate inside the screens but funnily enough not so bad late at night if eating about 8/9.
We have had an amazing holiday, couldn't have asked for more.
