      We'll be back very soon...

Well, what a fantastic week we have had! Spent a good few days enjoying the villa, plus great days out at Keri beach (where we hired a speed boat for the afternoon - MUST do!) Also lovely day at Casa Playa. We visited Barbara Beach and St Nicholas Beach before finally settling at Casa Playa, which had something for everyone. St Nicholas Beach was lively but the sea was not very nice due to the amount of seaweed. No such issue at Casa Playa, so would recommend this one. Nice sun beds for only €6 each for the day. Menu was also good with nice food.

Some nice restaurants in Zakynthos Town, also went to the Utopia, again very nice. But our favourite was the Ekapteoconi (card in guestbook) which is only 5 mins from the villa (turn right at the bottom of the hill and you can't miss the signs on the right hand side.) Great service, great food and lovely atmosphere! Not great on the desserts side, but they bought us some complimentary Figs which were gorgeous!!

Loved Zante, loved the Villa Aloni, no doubt we'll be back very soon.

PS Thank you to Jane who gave us some gret advice and tips...

I loved going to Banana Beach there was a lot to do there, were cute fish and the sea was very warm and I would recommend it. - Abi age 11 :)

Please remember to go and visit the Sea Life turtle REscue Centre next to Gerakas Beach, to visit the animals and especially the goats as there is a very cute goat called Dizzy (we named him) who has braqin damage and is adorable so remember to go and say hi! - Lucy (14)

Boat trip is very good value

Lovely villa, pool. Location is great with amazing views. Lovely beaches, very close, great restaurants. - Georgia

It is a long way along rutted roads/paths to Daphne Beach (2.4 miles). good footwear is required. We had forest fires whilst we were here and Jane kept us informed and up to date. They got quite close but we did not feel in danger. Fantastic views, the best villa we have had from James.

Worth going on a boat trip from Keri, we had a motor boat for a couple of hours and then went back another day for a boat trip (€10) very good value, 3 hours on a boat.

      What Superb Views!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Aloni. The villa was clean, tidy and well equipped. We absolutely love the location - what superb views! And have spent the evenings looking out to sea and watching the sunset.

We would love to visit again, we were sad to leave after our week.

      Efharisto!

      Views are Spectacular!

What a beautiful villa. We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave. The views are spectacular. The coffee house in the town does breakfast and wonderful cakes. Also recommend Costa's Brothers down past the supermarket. Very friendly and good food. Would love to come again. Thank you very much.

Perfect villa in a spectacular location. Peaceful and quiet with stunning views and amazing sunrises and sunsets from the villa. Definitely NOT the place to go if you want a lively nightlife.

It was a scary drive up to the villa through the olive groves the first time (bumpy and almost off road in places) but the more you did the drive the better it became. However, I would advise not to attempt it after dark! The parking at the villa is very tight so a smaller car is preferable.

Great outdoor area which gets the sun all day. The only downside I had was that the pool is accessed via ladders rather than steps as stated on the website, which may cause difficulties for some visitors (as it did for me!) even though I checked with Customer Services before booking the villa.

We didn't want to come home and wished we had booked a fortnight rather than the week. A wonderful holiday!

Overall I would recommend this villa.

Lincolnshire Family (the eldest child is at school)
The villa is situated in a beautiful spot at the top of a hill (the road is a little precarious though I must say!) so is quite isolated which we liked. However, I wouldn't say it was exactly quiet - you are surrounded by olive groves and the noise from what must be literally thousands of crickets was extremely loud! I got used to it fairly quickly having lived in Greece before, but my husband struggled and at one point thought he would have to move. Banana Beach is one of your local beaches, beautifully sandy, but it has become the beach for party going youngsters (several coaches doing drop off's!) so you have DJ's and very loud music which can also be heard from the villa. There is also a party boat twice a week and that can also be heard whilst relaxing at the villa . So, its quiet but also noisy if that makes sense. The sunrises are beautiful though and the sun goes down behind a mountain so whilst lovely, not the full sunset over the horizon (you have to travel to the west of the island for that). The pool isn't large, when our 2 girls were in it it was fine, 3 also doable, but 4 people in at the same time was very crowded. The villa is decorated lovely with everything you need, however the main master bedroom bed was extremely low with quite a hard mattress, something to consider if you have any mobility or back issues. The pool man and cleaners don't bother you and cleaning is every Thursday and Sunday so you can go out these days and you won't be disturbed. The road up to the villa is only one vehicle wide, and we only had to navigate another vehicle perhaps 4 times in total, but the drop is very steep! So, a beautiful location but not necessarily as quiet as you think, pool lovely but not large, and the local village at the bottom of the hill is quite small which we liked. They have a coffee house serving lovely light breakfasts and snacks for the evening with lovely people, a few gift shops, supermarkets and tavernas. The local Caretta beach is lovely but extremely pebbly and you have to go through the pool area to access it, so you have to buy your drinks from there, and the peddlers even find you there on the beach which is a bit annoying at times. We travelled to the beaches at Alykes which were more family friendly and quieter. So all in all it was fantastic but over priced for the location I think, which as I said isn't as quiet as you would think, and you had to lock up every night and take everything inside as you were very isolated. There was a house a bit below you with Greeks living in it, and another James villa a bit further down the hill, another Greek residency up the hill and that was it (plus literally thousands and thousands of crickets!) Would I book here again? Probably not for the price it was it just wasn't justifiable however lovely.

Stunning location, on the brow of the hill on the peninsula in the south-east corner of the island. Wonderful views on both sides. The villa is clean and pleasant, although it is not large, and there is no air-con in the main living room, which is unusual. The swimming pool is not very large and has no features. The drive up the hill to the villa is nerve-wracking, up a very steep and bumpy road, but it is worth it for the amazing location. The local area is lovely - there are bustling towns and busy beaches if required, but there are also lots of quiet areas and relaxing tavernas.

Lovely villa with spectacular views. They really are quite breath taking. The road to the villa gets easier the more you use it. Would recommend an automatic car as it makes driving it very easy. Outside area is lovely with plenty of space and good quality furnishings. The villa is well equipped with oodles of storage space. The shower could do with a better shower head holder as if you aren't careful you can flood the bathroom as it directs water over the bath end. Overall a lovely villa which we really enjoyed.

Great villa, a little isolated from everything but a treat if that is what you want. Great views and it's true that to arrive to the villa there is a big and curvy uphill road, I didn't have any problem with this but I can accept that some might have. Very close to nice restaurants and beaches.

Beautiful location with memorable views left and right. Layout of villa ... unfortunate that the kitchen / diner did not look out over the pool.
Access to parking space was tight and damage caused to car on a couple of occasions.
Very relaxing and beautiful villa, lovely Gardens with many olive trees... plants well thought out. We would hope to return very soon.
