Stagira - The birth place of Aristotle has an absorbing past, being destroyed and rebuilt in the philosopher’s honour. Today you’ll find ancient ruins, well preserved and looking out over the Aegean Sea. A beautiful beach sits nearby, ideal for a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters. Aristotle’s park is paradise for scientific and inquisitive minds! On a clear day, you might spot the monasteries of Mount Athos through the park telescopes.
The perfect place to pick up your gifts and souvenirs, Nea Moudania’s market is a must-see for holiday shopaholics. You’ll find markets popping up throughout Halkidiki, but Nea Moudania has the largest and most impressive. How about picking up some souvenirs with a local twist?
