Beaches are amazing and some of them are still unspoilt. Water is crystal clear, calm and warm, ideal for swimming. Local restaurants are good value. Honey made in the area is delicious.
Not sure how sustainable tourism is in Halkidiki. Development needs to be controlled to avoid spoiling the environment.

Nice quiet resort with proximity to well managed private beach, excellent for us, pebble shoes advised.Close to Paliouri village(2.5 km) with good Tavernas and supermarkets, and first class bakery. The Resort restaurant and bar were very convenient and food and drinks at breakfast and dinner of high quality and delicious. Easy journey to Thessaloniki enabled us to have an overnight sightseeing trip ( Electra Hotel splendid).Taxi drivers very helpful.
No post box in Paliouri, and variety of shops very limited. At the time of our visit, storms and rain, on two days only, prevented us from exploring more of the Kassandra Peninsula. The Rotunda and Ayios Nikolaos Orphanos Church in Thessaloniki were closed on Tuesdays, after having been closed on Mondays in previous times, and we had no prior warning that this was the case.

The peace and quiet. The bar on the beach. If you don't mind driving there are a host of places to visit. Locals are always happy to help. It would be more lively in the season but we enjoyed the quiet time going in May.
The very windy road to get to the villa but now we know what to expect.
