Villas in Corfu

Corfu’s spectacular north eastern coastline is a haven of white pebbly coves, glittering turquoise waters and stunning views. Locally known as Kerkyra, the island is a medley of cosmopolitan and time-honoured Greece, from the livelier resorts of Kassiopi and Ipsos, to outlying villages steeped in Greek tradition. While time seems to have forgotten them, you will not. The majority of our villas are dotted along the peaceful mountainside, surrounded by olive groves, orange and lemon trees and famously friendly natives.

Corfu - A picture postcard setting

Many of our Corfu villas scatter the wonderful northern eastern coast, gazing out towards the near-distant shores of Albania. It’s an island with the rare quality of appealing to all - a cosmopolitan beauty retaining its traditional name Kerkyra. It has an air of charm and mystery born of its long and ancient history.

  • Corfu Activities

Soak up the island’s magnificent sunsets with a walk across the headlands and coastal paths. The views are particularly magical – offering uninterrupted seascapes and panoramic scenes of untamed hillsides and white sandy bays.

Explore the shoreline scenery by small boat and go cove-hopping to one of many peaceful and very pretty bays. You can even trek on horseback around the wild and rugged countryside with an experienced instructor. Bird watching, cycling, windsurfing and waterskiing are also available.

  • Corfu Beaches

The beaches in Corfu are pebbly and sandy with many sloping gently into the sea. The secluded coves and clear blue waters have made the island a particular favourite with families. Most beaches are equipped with waterside tavernas, beachside shops, with pedalos and sun loungers for hire.

  • Corfu History

An island immersed in legendary Greek history, Corfu’s ancient sites have survived through the centuries to remain standing today. Corfu Town is a maze of narrow, stone-paved streets dominated by two stunning Venetian castles – the Old and New Fortresses. Other architectural attractions on this Greek Island include well-preserved palaces – one famously home to the Greek royal family.

Monasteries, chapels and old Roman ruins are dotted around the Corfu countryside, while mosaics, sculptures and frescoes have been carefully retained in their original domains for public viewing.

  • Corfu Food

Rich in Mediterranean flavours, traditional cuisine on the island consists of local ingredients. In particular, olives, lemons, tomatoes and freshly caught fish feature strongly in most dishes.

Find a waterfront taverna and dine on the terrace overlooking the sea, as homemade Greek dishes are lovingly prepared and served to your table. Back in the tranquillity of your own private villa, feast on a long, lazy lunch of grilled fish and fluffy fresh bread drizzled with just-pressed, golden olive oil.

  • Corfu Holidays - Points of Interest

    • Explore the narrow streets of old Corfu Town, the dungeons and battlements of the Byzantine and imposing Venetian forts.

    • Take a boat trip from the charming little fishing villages of St Stefanos or Kassiopi.

    • A trip to the two islets of Vlakhérna and Pondikoníssi: The first for its photogenic white convent and the second for its legendary Odysseus connections.

    • Visit Albania, just 2kms offshore by boat, and take this unique opportunity to experience the state’s fascinating history.

    • Dine in idyllic surroundings at the tiny harbour at Kouloura.

West Wickham Family (the eldest child is at school)
Excellent beach nearby and coastline generally. Trip to Corfu Town gave a different perspective. Smaller villages were great, especially Chlomos. 12yo son enjoyed diving at Agios Georgios.
Very poor organisation at airport on return journey - check in took the full 2 hours!

Great fun to hire a boat and visit coves and beaches. Lots of sea life to see while snorkeling or scuba diving. Great sea temperatures. Good night life in Corfu Town and Kassiopi. Also interesting to take a boat trip to Albania. Old Perithia definitely worth a visit with a great restaurant.
The roads were badly paved in parts, lots of narrow roads with sharp hair pins near cliff edges. Hard to access some beaches by road. Local drivers often drove erratically/ dangerously.
Lots of wasps and huge hornets round the island, including some beaches.

Southsea Family (the eldest child is at school)
Great restaurants, a lovely coast road with plenty of cute places. We also loved browsing the Old Town in the evening. Lovely beaches too.. oh and the weather was fantastic
Just Greek driving and roads. Some of the routes to the coast are involve hairpin bends and steep inclines and only room for one car.

Beautiful old town, day and night, it was charming. Some beautiful places to go and see, just not highly advertised unfortunately. I think the island map could be better. aqualand absolutely brilliant! Food shops fairly priced and plenty to choose from. Airport clean and organised. People very friendly!! A wonderful place to see!!
Stay away from ipsos, horrid to drive through. All aimed at younger folk. Be aware of bikes and quads. People drive dangerously. Map of the island not greatly detailed.

Bromley Family (the eldest child is at school)
We loved Corfu Town, had two days walking shopping and sightseeing. Kassiopi near to Villa was perfect for the evening but also lovely to have lunch in the day. The journeys to high up monasteries were worth the slightly terrifying driving experiences on narrow roads and oncoming coaches.
Mosquitos 😊
