Vineyards

You cannot leave Provence without visiting one of the wyneries; Château Vignelaure, Château La Coste, Château Léoube, Mas de Cadenet, Clos Mireille-Domaines Ott, Château de Chausse... There is sonething for every taste!

at Sault and Valreas, and buy lavender products like oil, essences, perfumes, soap, etc. In Coustellet there is even a Lavender Museum exploring the history of the cultivation of lavender in Provence.

Natural areas of beauty

Les Gorges de Regalon : just beside Merindol, take a wonderful walk through a narrow canyon; the scenery, terrain, and views all make this hike extremely interesting - actually spectacular.

A tour around the Mont Ventoux gives you a different perspective of Provence, from the lavender country round Sault to the west, to the wine country and Roman treasures of Vaison la Romaine in the East, and the beautiful and little-known villages scattered in between.
