The villa is located amidst vineyards and olive groves just five minutes south of Roussillon. It is newly built and nearby is an old farmhouse. The views to the south and the hilltop village of Bonnieux are stunning with great sunsets to the west. Inside the rooms are simply decorated and the kitchen/diner is extremely well equipped. The TV has numerous channels. The cooling system is under the plain, marble tiled floor and it is on the same level throughout. All the windows can be locked and there are external wooden shutters too. Outside there is a lovely patio with a vine covered verandah which leads to a sloping lawn and a swimming pool. In September the pool was cool and it suffers from being exposed to the westerly breeze which travels along the Luberon valley. The owners greet you and offer advice and recommendations, but apart from cleaning the pool they are happy to be contacted by text. There is a two car garage and plenty of hard standing. The spacious villa is to be recommended.

Overall our stay was a very positive experience. There is so much to see and do in Provence that we are already talking about a return visit.
I agree with a previous review about the lack of a welcome pack and basic provisions - apart from a solitary dishwasher tablet - there wasn't even a spare bin bag!
I also agree with another previous reviewer that Roussillon is not a short stroll away.

A fantastic view over looking the local area that you can not fault.
Villa is spacious and has lots of equipment that you might need.
If you follow the instructions provided then the under floor cooling system works wonders. We had 35 degree heat and the villa was nicely cool.
The owners were very accommodating and helpful, visiting twice to manage the pool in the week.
The pool has no shallow end so good to be aware of for children.
But there is a play area with a swing for them to enjoy.
Overall a lovely villa to stay at and enjoy a relaxing break.

Stunning views. Tranquil area but neighbouring houses had some noisy tractors during evenings. Excellent location with superb villages within reach by car. Definitely NOT just a " gentle stroll" into Roussillon for local bread and small shops! Walked three routes and shortest was 2.4 kilometres along a road with no paths. Pool often had many wasps on steps - two of party stung and huge number of flies on terrace which made eating out a nightmare. Very hot period for this holiday - exceptional according to owner who helped with stand alone fans BUT this place really needs air con. The underfloor cooling was overwhelmed by the heat. Pool warm but too deep for small children and wasps were worryingly aggressive Value for money given lower score than it may have got because of weaknesses in ability of underfloor cooling to cope with the extended period of high heat - would not book this type of Villa again
