A superb villa in a fantastic location. A small drive to the local village, and a beautiful area to drive around, if you like heights! Very easy set up and the staff onsite were beyond helpful! Thanks for a great holiday!

London Couple with adult daughter
The villa was fitted to a high standard, though there would not have been enough comfy seating in the living area if there had been 6 people staying. (We were only three.) The oven was dirty on arrival, but the rest of the villa was clean. There was no oven glove or tea towels so we bought (and donated!) these. It is set in a very pretty holiday village. The private pool was too small to swim seriously in and the Roman style (submerged steps) meant the effective size was even smaller than its 8 metres, but it was great for cooling off while sunbathing and in addition there are two large swimming pools (we estimated about 25 metres) in a stunning setting just two to three minutes away from the villa. We went at the end of the season and were often the only people in the pools - wonderful! I imagine it could get rather busy at the height of summer. It isn't possible to walk to Callian as the main road is busy, narrow and has no pavement, which was a shame, so a car is essential. I would be happy to stay here again.

Villa Violette is an average, small villa. The furnishings look dated, though reasonably comfortable. The equipment in the kitchen is basic. A pair of oven gloves would have been useful when we were using the cooker. The welcome pack was rather an insult as it contained just cleaning materials. Not up to Our previous experience of James Villa! Outside the pool was adequate, but very cold even when the sun was shining on it. The villa is set on a small resort with a clubhouse which seemed pleasant enough. The only problem was the resort reception only opened at certain periods during the day and when it was closed there was no way of getting any assistance from other staff members.

Family (the eldest child is at school)
Wonderful villa, spacious with lovely gardens/pool. Staff very helpful and resort generally stunning. If travelling with kids, as we were, it is worth noting that there is no play area as advertised and also the tap water can run dangerously hot for little ones. Otherwise a fabulous holiday.
