Situated in an elevated position close to the hilltop village of Callian, lies the wonderful Domaine de Camiole Resort & Spa. Situated amongst lush Mediterranean countryside in the heart of Fayence, the resort exudes an ambience of quality and high life living. Bordering the Massif de l'Esterel mountains and only 5km from Lake St. Cassien, there is a rich array of natural beauty to be discovered! For those who like to stay on resort, there is still plenty to keep all the family occupied. The outdoor pool is an ideal place to sunbathe at, or to socialise with other families. The resort offers a fine standard of accommodation, from villas with pools to wonderfully Provencal style designed apartments, perfect for families, groups of friends or couples alike!

Just 7km away from the Domaine de Camiole Resort & Spa lies the prestigious Terre Blanche Golf Club. It is here architect Dave Thomas, creator of some of the world’s most famous golf courses, has transformed the wild and hilly landscape of Provence into two championship golf courses. The west course named “Le Château” is open to non-club members and provides a rewarding challenge for golfers of all abilities testing their precision and length. The inspiring combination of bunkers, water-holes, long drives, flag positions and play-stopping views makes this course one that won’t be forgotten. With 300 days of sunshine per year, Terre Blanche offers the ideal golfing environment, why not take advantage of the all year round conditions!

London Couple
Whilst the villa could sleep six people there was only a single sofa in the lounge so 3 or 4 people would have to sit, uncomfortably, on dining room chairs if watching tele during the day/evening. There were other items of crockery etc that would not cater for 6 - e.g. there were only 2 wine glasses! There were no oven trays and only a single shelf in the oven. Be prepared to have to go to the supermarket (lots locally within a couple of miles) and buy items that should, ordinarily, have been provided. The air conditioning worked but was not overly effective - having left it on permanently for the entire week with doors and windows closed it eventually get the temperature down to 21 degrees. The pool was lovely but would definitely benefit from a cover - when we arrived it was full of leaves, dirt, ants, spiders etc, etc. That said the villa was extremely comfortable and very well priced. The advertised bar and restaurant on the website was closed the entire week we were there so there was no way of buying anything to eat or drink without leaving the resort.

Chipstead Family with children over
Pleasant clean villa.
Outdoor area could have been better, very basic seating area and garden very overgrown and not maintained. This gave the feeling of the place being neglected.
A basic welcome pack would have been useful .
Arrived after midnight as flight had a long delay.
Villa linen not great quality especially towels and no beach/pool towels as stated in brochure. No tea towels or kitchen towels.
No washing machine in villa. Used resort one and it was very poor as a strange system that had inbuilt washing powder that left the clothes stained.

No table mats provided for the wooden table.

Chorley Couple
The Villa is on a very hilly complex which is not suitable for elderly or people with walking issues.

The Villa itself was clean and comfortable with a lovely swimming pool. Outside the Villa gardens were rather overgrown.

We also felt with there being several similar villas that you were allocated one of them rather than the one shown in the James Villa brochure.

Family (the eldest child is at school)
This was our second year on visiting. The price hasn’t decreased, but the quality certainly had. Pool snack bar was far inferior from last year, as were spa facilities. Little disappointed. All in all with not comparing to last year. Nice resort.

Apartment Camiole II

4 out of 10

Family (the eldest child is at school)
We stayed here for a week in August 18, there were 6 of us two adults and 4 children. We felt the villa was very poorly equipped for a family, there was a huge lack of kitchen utensils and crockery which defeats the object of renting a villa rather then staying in a hotel. We were told that the restaurant at Camiole was closed because it was out of season which seems rediculous during peak summer months. The shower in the main bathroom was awful. It’s very sparsely furnished with no character and the WiFi was inadequate especially with 3 teenagers. All in all this was a very expansive villa and I would of expected much better standards from James Villa’s who we have used in the past. On the plus point the pool and outdoor space was good but that’s about it.

Market Harborough
The villa was very clean, lovely pool and great air conditioning which was a must. The villa living area was quite sparsely furnished but ok as there were only three of us. Bedrooms are spacious. Definitely need a car as the nearby village is accessed by a twisty road with no path.

Family (the eldest child is at school)
Nice villa but spoiled by being very badly underequipped. It's fine if you want to go out for dinner every night but nothing to cook with if you stay in. You should not have to buy cooking utensils when you are spending this much on a villa. Literally nothing here. And no bbq. I had to go and buy one as they would only rent you silly electric things on site. That is ridiculous.

Villa Violette

Birmingham Family (the eldest child is at school)
Lovely villa with a great pool. The kitchen could have been better equipped though - cooking wasn't easy. The complex was nice but it was disappointing that the snack bar stopped serving food early and the restaurant was closed. The whole reason we booked in a complex was to be able to eat out without driving, which proved impossible. Next time we wouldn't book in a complex again based on this experience.

Villa Magnolia

Herts Family (the eldest child is at school)
Villa was clean and tidy. Furniture simple but adequate. Plenty of crockery and cutlery in kitchen but poor supply of knives/spatulas etc. No kitchen towels provided. Gardens within villa grounds were a little shabby and overgrown. Pool good size but turned green for last few days. Fortunately we already had plans to be elsewhere for those few days but would have been a disappointing end to holiday if we hadn’t. The complex that the villa sits in is well maintained but seems a little past its prime in terms of things to do. It was obviously originally built to offer a lot more (restaurants, club, spa etc) and whilst the James Villa website hadn’t promised those things, the environment just seemed a little bit sorry for itself. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The region is lovely with the beautiful hill top villages of Callian and Montereux nearby. A few lovely hidden restaurants there. Supermarkets nearby. Car definitely required. Overall a pleasant stay lacking va va voom!
