Mougins is a beautiful old medieval village located just 15 minutes’ drive from the bright lights of glittering Cannes. Surrounded by beautiful forests, the town is packed with fascinating old buildings, quaint narrow streets lined with little stone houses, and colourful flowers trailing down the walls. A number of celebrities have enjoyed staying here in the past, including many from the art and culture world, to which the village has traditionally had strong connections. In nearby Cannes, you will find great beaches, nightlife and shopping amid the bustling atmosphere.

In Cote d'Azur you will find many dishes with an array of freshly grown vegetables, due to the sunshine the region grows them incredibly delicious and they are used as a key side or element. situated at the entrance to the Vieux Village and just before the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, La Cave is a sophisticated wine cellar and wine bar. The cave boasts a wonderful view and holds frequent degustations which can be accompanied by tapas, tea and cake.

Mougins is located between the massifs of the Esterel and Tanneron, midway between Saint Tropez and the Italian border. If visiting the haunts of the rich and famous appeals, there are the towns of Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice, Cannes and St Tropez within easy reach. If you prefer the relative quiet (or cool) of the hills, there are numerous hill towns and villages, each with their own special interest. There is also spectacular geology ranging from the stiking red Massif d'Esterel, which creates awe inspiring coastal scenery between Agay and Cannes, to France's own 'Grand Canyon', the Gorge du Verdon with its steep sides leading down to a turquiose river.

Explore the many art galleries which are both in the main square and tucked away in the picturesque back streets of the Vieux Village.
As you enter the Vieux Village you will find, on the left, the Mougins Museum of Classical Art. It houses a world class, permanent collection of both ancient and modern art.
Mougins' magic lies in its preserved mediaeval character. The town's architecture has not changed in centuries and walking through the narrow alleys takes the visitor back in time.
