The villa location on West Golf was good. Taxis were prompt. All the people we met across the whole resort were very friendly. The restaurants were fab.
The supermarket in downtown was a little cramped, which might give a feeling of claustrophobia when busy.

Spacious, relaxing and quiet. Well supported by management company. Easy links everywhere by tuk-tuk. The perfect holiday for us.

Tuck Tuck into either the marina or downtown where cheap (25LE ) and you could Book one from phoning 0 in the house. Best way supermarket down town best to buy supplies along with the Butchery and the fruit and veg shop. You can also get fish from the fish market restaurant to cook on the BBQ but not cheap 😀 Good restaurants with lots of choice, Orca Dive at the marina was fantastic and very organised and collected us from the villa.
El Gouna is a quiet resort and safe with no hassle and is great for families. It is far quieter than Sharm and feels like one big resort.
It was a little sterile and you could not get good Egyptian food but you can get all other nationalities even fondue!
It is not bad but not really authentic depends what you want from a holiday. Not very adventurous.

El Gouna downtown has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The area is kept clean, safe and a joy to be in. Abu Tig Marina is a great place to visit day and night, with a great deal being pedestrianised. Tuk-Tuks - awesome, every town should have them! Kite surfing: if you get the chance try it! Boat tours: many to choose from and a good experience
I would like to have seen more traditional Egyptian restaurants. No real public beaches where there is no charge to be there and sun loungers are a choice. Flies: every time we had lunch at the beach, we got invaded by flies which took the enjoyment away. Burning coffee mitigates this to some extent, but not entirely.
