The boat travelled very quickly, so was quite exciting to ride on and the Captain explained, in English, where we were and what we were looking at.”

“A very large and interesting site, with many buildings and mosaics. Some are in very good repair, considering they date back to 30 BC! There are some much more modern buildings too, only dating back to the 1800's! Be prepared for a lot of dusty walking and take refreshments, as the only ones on site are from a vending machine.”

    • Mr Sapwell, July 2014

We just enjoyed 2 weeks at Villa Ino, Coral Bay, Cyprus. It is a very well equipped and spacious villa. This villa is located just the right distance outside the centre of the small town, so much so we were able to enjoy the evenings looking at shooting stars in the unspoilt night sky. We met the owner of the villa and he brought us a selection melons, figs and grapes from his adjacent farm! Our children were in awe of the pomegranate and lime trees that grew next door. Was there anything we wish we were informed of before we arrived? We were first time visitors to Cyprus and didn't know that all the electric sockets were the same as in the UK, therefore no need for travel adaptors!

This is a charming villa which is private and not overlooked. It is surrounded by the owners orchard and olive trees, which is delightful. The interiror was clean and inviting with the extra touches of candles and beach towels for our use. The staff attending the villa were very helpful and polite and assisted us when needed. By chance we met the owner tending his orchard who gave us the most the nicest strawberries we have ever eaten from his field. This villa is sutiable for all, families, couples or like us, two sisters needing time away to relax. Turn right out of the villa and seek out the cafe/restaurant Sea Caves down the road 2 miles. Turn left out of the villa and the first supermarket on the left with yellow signange belongs to the villa owner and is full of everything you need for your stay. Thanks you James, the owner and your staff again for a great vacation. This villa was a super find.

Family (with only pre-school children)
We stayed in the Villa Ino with two young children aged 4 and 18 months. We booked this due to the lack of balconies in one of the rooms, our 4 year old can sleep walk on occasion, so safety was an important factor in our decision making when booking.

Overall we are extremely happy with where we stayed, and I guess the biggest compliment we could pay to the Villa Ino is, 'It'll be the first one we look at, when we return again in a couple of years time'.

First of all, the location is around 1-2km from Coral Bay itself and 1km from the Sea Caves. Therefore everything is within a 30 minute walk each way if you so wished. For us it was perfect. It's about 5 minutes in the car in either direction. The nearest big supermarket also less than a 10 minute drive.

The grounds and house itself are ideal. The house is set about 100m from the main road, up a driveway. We could only hear the occasional passing truck, but you can't see any traffic from the ground floor. In fact, the whole property was barely over looked, just one property to the back of the house which in itself was around a further 100m away. Nothing to the sides or front, with large 8ft hedges around the property. Pretty much total privacy, which isn't the case with many villas in the region. Only draw back is you can't close the gates.

As for for the house itself, for a 3 bedroom, the living areas are huge, more storage space than we needed (and anyone who travels with 2 small children, know you pack everything plus the kitchen sink). The beds are comfy (extra pillows if needed). My only gripe was that some of the decor looked a bit dated inside, and some of the plaster was falling away. Some could argue adds charm to the property, and after a while we also subscribed to this view. Inside the floors were a bit dusty and pipework exposed (common in greek properties) . Other than that, spot on. There are very limited activities (no table tennis for example), but we didn't need them, our hands were already full running after the little ones. You may want to bring your own entertainment if you need some games etc.

The TV had 1000+ channels, not sure they all worked, and only a handful in English unfortunately, however there was a DVD player and a soundbar for an iPod. Unfortunately the stereo didn't work for us, again we didn't play around with it as it wasn't a big deal for us. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, our one gripe again was it didn't have a grill tray, but it's a minor flaw and we just used a pyrex dish instead.

Upstairs, there are two ensuites and a separate bathroom. We found the twin bedroom shower better than the master shower, just as a little tip. Everything in working order and clean as expected.

The swimming pool is huge, the photos on the website do not do it justice. As it was April, it could be a bit fridged in the morning, their is no pool heater. But by the afternoon it was bearable to go in, as our little one kept wanting to swim. The pool cleaners we saw twice, but I think they go every other day, which is a bonus. The pool is in sunlight pretty much from 9am until sundown too.

We didn't use the outdoor grill, it's to the back of the property, I know some reviews have mentioned it would be better at the front, but it's important to remember the age of the property and that it's traditionally seen as an extension to the kitchen, rather than a BBQ. It was perfectly clean though.

In summary, if you come here expecting a 5* facility, you may be disappointed. But considering the age of the property, there are lots of features which more than make up for this. I'd give it a 9.5/10 overall.

An older villa but with that comes space. Very private with high hedges and spacious safe grounds for the kids to run around in. All amenties there as you would expect and a lot recently renewed and in good working order. Only view (other than of the hedges) of the sea is for the 1st floor main bedroom balcony.

The only things that lets this villa down is the swimming pool is freezing and the BBQ positioned behind the back of the villa we found not practical.

Villa Ino is a breathtakingly beautiful villa from the outside with a larger than average pool, lovely heavy wooden furniture, contemporary lighting and a cute little rabbit that hangs out in the garden.
It's completely private at the front, accessed by a long drive (which the owner also uses to access his land at the side of the villa) with lots of space for parking. It's situated just off the road down to the Sea Caves so some traffic noise is to be expected especially from the groups of quad bikes and jeep safaris heading that way.

Inside, the villa was a bit disappointing. There were curtains pulled off the hooks in the lounge, plinths off kitchen units not in place, food left in the fridge from the previous occupants, sheets of white card 'blue tacked' to a window in the master bedroom and without going into too much detail, it needed a thorough clean.
The burglar alarm was activated on arrival as there had been no communication explaining that the alarm would be on and it was to be deactived using the fob on the villa keys. A torch is definitely needed for night time arrivals.

That said, the kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were light and airy with ample wardrobe/drawer space. Great views from the master bedroom balcony. Plug sockets are situated close to mirrors and the air con on the first floor provides a welcome relief from the heat during the mid summer months.
A short drive through Coral Bay on the main road and you'll find a huge supermarket where you can get everything you need to self cater. There are smaller shops that are closer but you'll find they're far more expensive.
All in all, a peaceful and relaxed holiday was had at Villa Ino and much of that time was spent enjoying the lovely outside space.

Villa was lovely and was well equipped with everything you needed to make the holiday enjoyable, but could have done with a fan or air con in the downstairs area. Was close to all the amenities which was excellent, but you were far enough away to enjoy the privacy of the villa. We spend the hot days in the pool and explored the Island at night when it was a bit cooler.Would definitely recommend villa ino.

Nice villa without great seating area and pool
Villa could have been cleaned better when pulling back curtains and drapes it was apparent it had not been cleaned thoroughly and was quite disgusting
Great pool. Well kept!
Poorly maintained garden
Bbq in very odd place. Would have been much better by side of house next to seating area

A very clean and spacious villa. Liked the privacy of the high hedging around the pool area which gave the feeling of peace. the only downfall I would have is that the weeks I stayed were extremely hot, and the lounge area could of done with a fan at the very least or even more acceptable would be to have a air conditioner unit installed.

Dorset Family (the eldest child is at school)
The villa was lovely and as described. The only downside was the lack of basic supplies, salt and pepper, bin bags, loo paper, any cleaning clothes, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, etc. We bought every one of these, and left what we didn't use for the next guests. I feel for the money some of these could be supplied.
