Still retaining its charm and genuine Spanish character, the focal point of the town is a magnificent marble-paved promenade, El Balcon de Europa, which juts out on a rocky outcrop between two bays. Nearby, why not venture into the famous Cuevas de Nerja to see prehistoric cave paintings and the longest stalactites in the world – all 63 metres long.
