This beautiful, elegant villa is the former home of a retired general and stands proudly atop a low hill overlooking the olive groves, vineyards and orchards of nearby Pieve di Compito. The main attraction is the impressive swimming pool, set in a paved sun terrace at the rear of the house and overlooked only by the cool, shaded barbecue dining terrace.
Inside the house is spacious and tastefully furnished and is fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and memorable holiday.
The general himself lives next door with his lady wife and they are on hand if needed and to maintain the lovely gardens of this delightful house

This attractive medieval town is set on a hillside amid wooded, mountainous terrain in the north of Tuscany. The lush, undulating landscape makes this an idyllic location for your Tuscan villa holiday. Surrounded by olive groves, Pieve di Compito is wonderfully picturesque. The village boasts a lovely old church with a bell tower that rises high above the surrounding buildings. Pieve di Compito is a great base for touring the historical sites of Tuscany, with the cities of Florence and Pisa both within driving distance. The village is also superbly located for visiting the historic walled city of Lucca, which can be reached within just a 15 minute drive. "Our family holiday (and special birthday celebration) was a great success due to the excellent villa and friendly hospitality of the owners. They left for a holiday while we were there and during their absence for the last few days of our holiday we were very well looked after by one of their five daughters, who traveled from Florence.
The swimming pool was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by our grand children.
I would be pleased to recommend this spacious villa for those who need the six bedroom accommodation.
My wife adds that she would like a tea pot in the kitchen (we did find a lidless one in a sittingroom cupboard) and that non-breakable glasses for drinks round the pool would be a good idea.

"The family were on site if needed, but not intrusive and very friendly. Excellent Villa for our three generations under one roof - loads of space. Plastic glasses for poolside use would have been useful and good practice for health and safety. Lock on the downstairs bathroom would be useful. "
