The only fault was we were told by the owners that the pool man would be arriving on Wed to clean the pool, only he did not. That may have been an issue if there were more of us in out party using the pool daily and as much as we were. "

"This villa was exceptionally clean and well equipped. There was copious amounts of space both inside and out and the photos really don't show this. The people at the villa (cleaners/owners?) showed us around when we arrived and where all the appliances were, which was really useful. The nearest village with anything going on is Peccioli - a few bars and cafes here, however you need to travel farther for provisions and we found Forcoli a good place to go for this. The information in the James Villas handbook at the villa was useful and we took the advice of geting the train to Florence - really simple - although parking at the station difficult to find. We did go to the beach one day - the information indicated that Pisa de Marina was the nearest - however it would be good to warn people that most of the beaches here are private and the public ones consist of a small sand one and a pebble one that are really not suitable for children - I think we would have rather have travelled further. The good thing about choosing a James Villas holday is that you can do what you want how you want, for instance our paty consisted of 6 adulta sn one infant. We booked our own flights, My husband and I went for 2 weeks, my daughter and family for 10 days and friends drove over and stayed a week - plenty of scope for doing your own thing.
On a final note - Please could you make people aware verbally that they will not be reminded when their final payment is due - this caused us some concern during our booking. "
