Trequanda in Tuscany
Picturesque and tranquil, this typical hilltop town is surrounded by lush forests and vineyards, olive groves and golden fields. The attractive town square, with its beautiful castle, town hall and church is located at the top of the town, with narrow streets, alleyways and medieval covered passages leading down amongst the quaint buildings. The town is wonderfully traditional, with the opportunity to immerse yourself in local life, and try some of the delicious local produce which includes lovely olive oil, great wine, and delicious pecorino cheese, and salami. You can also enjoy spending a day visiting the beautiful city of Siena – well worth the one hour drive from Trequanda.

Lovely villa in beautiful quiet, rural setting. Great large pool, although kids thought the water temperature a little cold when first getting in! Kitchen basic but with all the essentials, low level ceiling not good for the taller chefs but great excuse to eat out more! Indoor living space is small but this didn't really matter as our family of five spent most of our time enjoying outdoor space at the villa - which I couldn't fault. (although perhaps addition of a table tennis table, or such like,in the outdoor covered area would be a good asset to keep the kids amused?). Villa good location for visiting local towns.
