Hike in the Livorno hills on a Tuscany villa holiday
According to the official tourism website for Tuscany, the area is filled with lush green trees, some of which are over 30 metres in height.
It encompasses the city of Livorno, as well as the Calafuria nature reserve, which descends down to the Tuscan coast.
Towards the south of the Livorno hills, holiday makers can find the "gorgeous" beachside town of Castiglioncello, while the northern area is home to the Montenero sanctuary.
On the western side they can see some interesting structures, such as the Calafuria Tower and the Sidney Sonnino castle.
Those eager to get walking in Tuscany could rent a villa in Bibbona, which is just a short drive from the coast and is a great base from which to explore the region on foot.
Historic cities like Pisa, Florence and Siena are also easily accessible from here.
