Montecatini Val di Cecina in Tuscany
The charming town of Montecatini Val di Cecina rests amid beautiful scenery atop the Poggio la Croce hill, enjoying spectacular views over the Cecina valley and towards nearby Volterra. Superbly preserved, medieval buildings huddle along the winding streets and alleyways within the town walls. The town boasts a very rich history, first settled by the Etruscans and later used as a Roman lookout post, and you will find a variety of architectural styles on display. Take a leisurely stroll to admire the Romanesque church, cylindrical towers, and elegant piazzas, as well as the imposing Belforti tower, which dominates the skyline.

What a find. Totally relaxing holiday one of the best we have been on. If you are looking for a really beautiful place to stay where you can unwind and forget about the rest of the world then this is the place to be. Villa is everything the photos and descriptions tell you it will be. The views are something else. Lying by the pool in the beautiful Italian sunshine looking at that view made us completely relaxed. Cant wait to return. In fact we were tempted to see if it was free for the following week as we didn't want to come home. Thank you for a perfect holiday.
