Try a Turkey holiday for a honeymoon with a difference
Turkey holidays along the Aegean coast have been recommended for couples looking for a honeymoon with a difference.
According to Jane Anderson of 101honeymoons.co.uk, breaks in this part of the world could be particularly suitable for newlyweds wanting to look beyond the usual sun, sea and sand-filled honeymoons.
She notes that newlyweds are savvier than ever before when it comes to travel, as they are likely to have already been on beach holidays together and so are looking for something different for their post-wedding getaway.
"Turkey's Aegean coast combines spectacular archaeological sites, such as the ancient cities of Ephesus and Troy, with life-affirming coastal beauty," she tells the Daily Mail.
Those looking to stay in a Turkey villa on the country's Mediterranean coast might want to try walking the Lycian Way, which was recently traversed by the Telegraph's Nigel Richardson.
He praised the route for its plethora of historical sights and its beautiful scenery, describing the final stop on his walk - Simena - as "one of the most dreamily lovely spots" he had ever stayed in.
