The resort of Callao Salvaje is a short drive from the bright lights of Playa de las Americas, offering the ideal base for those wanting to be near to Tenerife's main town. Callao Salvaje has a selection of supermarkets and a parade of bars and restaurants, all with a very British feel. You'll find a rocky cove here, with the fantastic beaches of Playa de las Americas only 20 minutes away. Our villas are situated throughout Callao Salvaje, including the Sueno Azul development of villas and apartments, which is very popular with British visitors.

El Medano 2 15 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
Just a short distance along the coastline from the airport, El Medano offers a refreshing alternative to the lively resort of Playa de las Americas. From the pleasant town square, you can take a stroll along the beach or through typically narrow streets where you’ll find many bars and pavement cafés to choose from. The fine selection of restaurants includes French, Chinese and Italian as well as eateries serving locally caught fresh fish. Renowned for windsurfing and watersports, El Medano’s famous, flat white sandy beach has played host to the world windsurfing championships and offers good facilities for sunbathing and other beach holiday activities.
Icod de los Vinos 2 25 mins from Tenerife North Time from airport
The historic town of Icod de los Vinos is set amid a fertile landscape of pine forests, orchards, vineyards and banana plantations in the north west of the island. From here, you can enjoy impressive views of majestic Mount Teide. The town itself is rich in fascinating old buildings, including palaces and churches. The famous Dragon Tree – claimed to be thousands of years old, also stands in the centre and has become a symbol of the town. If you visit in early February, you cannot fail to be caught up in the fantastic energy of the local carnival – a great attraction for locals and visitors alike.
Playa de la Arena, Los Gigantes 2 1 hr from Tenerife South Time from airport
The resort of Playa de la Arena boasts one of the finest volcanic sand beaches in the region, as well as a stunning beachfront promenade with a great selection of restaurants and bars. Playa de la Arena is set against the dramatic backdrop of the cliffs of Los Gigantes, and neighbours the nearby resort of Puerto de Santiago. The resort of Los Gigantes is just four kilometres away, set on a hill at the foot of truly awe-inspiring cliffs which drop steeply into the sea. There is a variety of restaurants, shops and bars clustered around the resort's small harbour where you can join various dolphin and whale-spotting boat trips. You’ll also find a little black sand beach that’s ideal for families.
Playa Fanabe, Costa Adeje 2 25 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
Situated in the Costa Adeje area, Playa Fanabe is a pretty resort packed with things to do. The town centre has a bustling promenade with bars and restaurants, whilst a sandy beach offers numerous watersport activities. There are also a number of good golf courses close to Playa Fanabe, the nearest of which, La Caleta, is just a five minute drive from the resort. Also worth a visit is the fantastic shopping centre of Gran Sur, packed with shops, a cinema and a supermarket.
El Escobonal, Guimar 1 45 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
The lovely town of Guimar is rich in history and culture. Set on the east coast, away from the more commercial resort towns in the south of the island, the town boasts some wonderful 15th century architecture and churches. However, Guimar is most famous for its mysterious pyramids, the origins of which remain unclear to this day. These fascinating step-sided structures are similar to those found in Central America, and were mentioned in writings as long ago as Roman times.
La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz 1 15 mins from Tenerife North Time from airport
Packed with culture and history, La Orotava is the place to soak up the authentic atmosphere of Tenerife. This attractive town is characterised by beautiful architecture, picturesque squares and wide streets, set amid a wide valley of banana plantations. La Orotava is well-known for its arts and crafts, and you will find a wide variety of shops selling ceramics, laces, and woodwork produced locally. Small beaches of volcanic sand are accessible within a short drive, along Tenerife’s rugged north coast – and these are generally peaceful and quiet. La Orotava is also the perfect base from which to explore the nearby Mount Teide national park.
Los Cristianos 1 15 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
This popular resort is just 15 minutes' drive from Tenerife’s Reina Sofia Airport in the south of the island. Los Cristianos boasts great sandy beaches, an attractive harbour, and a great shopping centre. The main beach offers a great stretch of golden sand, whilst in the next bay along the coast, the popular Las Vistas beach is one of the most popular in Tenerife. A large selection of shops can be found in the pedestrianised centre, whilst there is also a large market every Sunday, where you will find a variety of goods. A great choice of bars and restaurants caters for many different tastes, serving both local cuisine and international foods.
Playa de las Americas 1 25 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
The bustling resort of Playa de las Americas has become Tenerife’s most popular holiday areas. Boasting an array of first-class facilities, a selection of beautiful, clean, sandy beaches and a wealth of leisure activities, the resort is a pleasure seekers paradise. Playa del Duque, Costa Adeje 1 25 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
Playa del Duque, in Costa Adeje, is an up market resort which offers a quieter place to stay than the neighbouring resort of Playa de las Americas – but is still only a short drive from its wide variety of amenities. The resort offers a popular beach of volcanic sand, with a few restaurants, bars, and shops dotted along the waterfront where you can relax as you gaze out to sea. The state of the art Plaza del Duque Shopping Centre has the most exclusive designer shops including Cartier, Escada and Mango, as well as a good variety of restaurants and bars.
Playa Paraiso 1 30 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
Playa Paraiso is a low-key resort offering a small selection of music bars restaurants and shops. The resort has a small, pebbly beach and the main attraction is a lido with a large lagoon-style pool and ocean views. You’ll find the bustling resort of Playa de las Americas only a 15 minute drive away.
Playa San Juan 1 45 mins from Tenerife South Time from airport
The small fishing village of Playa San Juan has retained its Spanish roots. A lively fiesta lights up the resort in early August when the Virgen del Carmen is taken down to the fishing boats amidst dancing and fireworks. Our villas here are situated on the rocky seafront, just a short distance from the modest selection of restaurants and bars.

San Miguel is a picturesque town set in a tranquil region within southern Tenerife. Set in an elevated position with wonderful rural views, the town is surrounded by lush farmland. This is a great base for exploring the great outdoors on foot, and there is great walking around Montana de Ifara, Granadilla and also within the nearby Teide National Park. The beautiful and popular beaches of southern Tenerife are just a short drive away, whilst you will also find a range of entertainment, bars, restaurants shops and supermarkets in the bustling resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.
