Yet it also manages to retain the charming character synonymous with Provence. Take a walk down the tree-lined avenues past pastel buildings to the old town, and stock up on delicious nut breads, cheeses and olives at the food market in Place du Marché. Our villas here are sat next to each other, set in over five hectares of grounds.

This attractive little village is located amid beautiful scenery between the cities of Marseille and Nice. The historic town centre is typical of the region – full of narrow streets winding their way between the quaint buildings and houses. Le Luc is surrounded by beautiful countryside scattered with olive trees, oak forests, vineyards, and traditional dry stone walls. The glamorous coastal resort of Saint Tropez is just a short drive away and perfect for a day trip, whilst many sandy beaches are also within reach. The beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence with its famous fountains is also within driving distance.

As you enter pretty Bonnieux, you will see the impressive church tower first. 425 metres high, the tower dominates the countryside and the surroundings of this magnificent village, situated in the Luberon region. Bonnieux is known as one of the finest villages in the area with some superb houses going back to the 16th, 17th, and 18th century remind us that Bonnieux was a wealthy village when this region belonged to the Popes. Take a stroll through the village and wonder at the architecture and history on display.

Sitting on a hillside between the sea and the mountains, and set in picturesque Provençal countryside, Fayence is rated highly by tourists. It has a southerly climate, charming old streets, pretty and welcoming bars emitting the beautiful lavender and floral aromas of Provence, and even some hints of times gone by. Fayence is also well known for its top European gliding center, where competitions are held.

The historical towns of Avignon and Aix en Provence and attainable by car and both make a fantastic day out. Head south and visit the beaches of Marseille for an exciting seaside day out.

The village of Les Arcs was calle Archos in the early ages, and today is a modern village with a medieval environment with a mix of steep streets and old buildings. Leave your car at the Town Hall square and have a wander round the streets where you will find 12-15 century remains to explore. Don't miss the St Roseline chapel or the cloister of the Celle-Roubaud abbey, wonderful sights in a wonderful area.

The tranquil village of Regusse is located amid lush oak woodland. Traditionally French in character, the picturesque skyline is dominated by the much photographed church tower, and the interesting buildings also include several old windmills sited on the outskirts of the village. There is plenty of culture to be found in Regusse, with many festivals taking place throughout the year including cultural exhibitions, classical music concerts, antique fairs and a kite festival. Our villa is located in a tiny hamlet, within walking distance of the village centre and perfectly located for visiting the spectacular Verdon canyon, just twelve kilometres away.

The pretty Provençal village of Saint Saturnin les Avignon has the delightful calm atmosphere of a small provençal village whilst being close to the famous city of Avignon. Bordered by Napoleonic platain trees, the Boulevard de la Libération encircles the village, where busy restaurants and cafes form the meeting points for the locals. In the Place du 16 juin 1940, a fountain stands in front of the renovated church. Walking around the pretty flowered streets you will pass renovated houses, either painted or in natural stone, giving a charming village center. Quiet and located off the main tourist route, Saint-Saturnin-les-Avignon is a lovely Provençal village.

Ventabren, Aix 1 1hr 20mins Marseille Time from airport
Ventabren is a lovely old stone village perched on a hill and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Cobbled streets wind their way between typical stone buildings, overlooked by the ruins of an old château. The village has a peaceful Provençal atmosphere ideal for relaxation and to get a taste of rural France. Not far from the village, you can see the world’s largest stone aqueduct (the Roquefavour aqueduct), which is 400 metres long and 83 metres high. Also within a short drive is the historic town of Aix-en-Provence, which is a great place to stroll round, with its fountains and beautiful architecture. Here you will also find a good variety of amenities.
