The importance of sunscreen when enjoying Menorca holidays
Parents who are treating their children to an exciting holiday to Menorca villas in the months have been encouraged to educate their kids about the importance of sunscreen before boarding the plane.
Bevis Man, from the British Skin Foundation, pointed out that much of the damage which occurs to a person's skin as a result of sun exposure takes place before the age of 20.
With kids more likely to head outside during their times of play - including when venturing abroad - Mr Man has stressed the importance for parents to protect them from the sun's glare.
"It's certainly worth educating children so that they understand why it's important not to get sunburnt when out in the sun, and … what they can do themselves in terms of clothing and their own behaviour to make sure they stay safe in the sun," the expert added.
Family members will not want to miss a minute of their stay in villas in Menorca, with Lazaro Criado, tourism minister of Menorca, recently stating that the Spanish island "is a fantastic destination for everyone" packed with golden beaches and exciting natural attractions.
