Relax on idyllic beaches while on a Menorca villa holiday
People on a Menorca villa holiday will discover why the Balearic island is renowned for its bounty of spectacular beaches.
Writing for the Daily Mail, Caitlin Davies tells of her recent trip to the region of Cala'n Porter where she discovered long stretches of white sandy beach only metres from the village.
"Cross the road and its 182 steps down to a beautiful cove," she writes.
Menorca holiday makers can also visit Son Bou, the longest beach on the island.
According to Ms Davies, Son Bou provides holiday makers the chance to "be alone with the gorgeous green sea and admire the stunning sand dunes."
Menorca has over 100 beaches to choose from, ranging from the developed beaches on the Southern coastline featuring shallow waters ideal for children, to horseshoe bays, coastal views and rugged scenery in the North.
For a touch of retail therapy in-between beach time, local markets selling traditional arts and crafts, jewellery and leather goods can be found in abundance.
