Menorca holidays 'ideal for relaxing'
A Menorca holiday could be the ideal option for people searching for a relaxing getaway this year, according to an article published in the Daily Mirror.
Writers Sue Jolly and Brian Hancill recently visited the island and enjoyed its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere.
They took the opportunity to see the capital, Mahon, and visited the Xoriguer gin distillery, where guests can try a selection of free samples.
People planning to take a tour of the city during a Menorca villa holiday can also take a boat trip around the harbour, which is the second largest in the world after Pearl Harbour in Hawaii.
The Daily Mirror reporters also explored more of the island, visiting destinations such as Fornells and the picturesque cove of Cala en Porter, which is accessed via a flight of hundreds of steps or a back road for those who decide to hire a car.
People planning a Menorca villa holiday this summer can also pay a visit to Cala Mitjana, a beach that is "impossibly pretty" and "totally sheltered", according to the writers, with seafront walking routes to explore.
