Take in some local culture on a Mallorca villa holiday
Holiday makers staying in Mallorca villas this summer will have the chance to absorb some of the island's culture at the Sa Mostra folk festival.
The event will take place in Soller, which is located on the island's north-west coast, from July 19th to 25th this year.
It was founded by the Aires Sollerics group, who wanted to initiate a cultural celebration that could bring traditional music and dance to the public, according to the Spanish Tourist Office.
People taking Mallorca villa holidays will be able to see shows by groups from all over the world.
Performers present a series of public events before coming together for a celebration on the final day that features all of the participating groups.
According to a guide to Soller published in the Times, visitors should take the opportunity to eat at some of the resort's restaurants, such as Randemar, Es Canyis and El Faro, which specialises in fish.
The northern half of Mallorca is home to several destinations that provide villa accommodation, with Alcudia, Sa Pobla and Pollensa among the most popular.
