Majorca still very popular with Brits
Brits have long been enjoying holidays at cheap villas in Majorca, and this is not going to change any time soon, new research shows.
Research by Jet2holidays has indicated that the British love affair with Spain will not end any time soon, with Majorca continuing to play host to myriads of tourists from the UK.
It was found that 30 per cent of holiday makers are planning to head to the country for their main vacation in 2012.
Majorca was among the most popular destinations in the results, indicating that many will be relaxing in cheap villas in Majorca in the months ahead.
Moving outside of Spain, the Greek island of Crete is also expecting a surge in popularity.
Over a quarter of participants claimed that a holiday is "vital" to their health and wellbeing, with the company denying that economic troubles have taken their toll on holiday plans.
