Street improvements planned in Puerto del Carmen
People planning to book a villa in Puerto del Carmen for a Lanzarote holiday in future could see the benefit of a range of improvement works set to be carried out in the area.
More than ?10 million (?8.5 million) has been set aside for development of the popular tourist resort, Lanzarote Guidebook reported.
The project is expected to begin later this year and will include work on streets around the Playa Chica area.
People taking Lanzarote holidays could also see the benefit of improvements to the main Avenida de las Playas, which runs along the seafront and is highly popular among tourists.
Additions to the resort will include new pavements, street furniture and other facilities that will prove useful for pedestrians.
Puerto del Carmen, the island's biggest and busiest resort, is home to countless restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment venues.
Travellers planning Lanzarote holidays can also book villas in Puerto Calero, Oasis de Nazaret, Costa Teguise and other popular hotspots around the island.
